Positioned next to the Parkour will be a custom design basketball and netball court providing opportunities for a wide range of age groups to practice shooting hoops and keep active.

If that sounds all too much and you are looking for something a bit quieter, maybe something that could even be played with a cold drink in the hand, why not have a family game of Bocce on the new Bocce Court.

Other features within the new park will include a large covered BBQ and picnic table plaza raised to overlook the sports field with multi-use goal posts for both league and soccer. Feature lighting will set off the park at night and there will also be a large carpark.

Other new projects are powering ahead as COVID lockdowns drive unprecedented interstate demand for the idyllic Queensland lifestyle.

Having sold almost all available land, we are on the verge of unveiling two prime residential land releases, while premium terrace house and land packages under construction continue to fuel strong downsizer demand.

LAND & TERRACE HOMES UPDATE

FUTURE-PROOFING OUR FUTURE GENERATIONS BY TEACHING TRANSFERRABLE SKILLS

Enquiry from interstate, particularly Victoria, is high. We have sold all available land and are moving to get as much product as possible ready to meet demand.

There has been massive interest in our terrace product from the south, meanwhile Queenslanders are realising the window of opportunity is now before the borders re-open.

Tailor-made homes in Maranoa Lane are selling quickly, with one selling and three going under contract in recent weeks ranging from $600,000 to $750,000, leaving just one remaining opportunity.

The Signature Terrace Collection on the emerging Island and Marina Precinct has also performed well with two sales and two new builds commencing plus the construction of the first display terrace is almost complete so come down and walk through this beautiful new display.

Residential homesites are also flying out the door with the last four currently available lots located metres from parkland, canals and future waterfront cafes selling within three weeks of going on the market ranging from $385,000 to $470,000.

A boutique collection of nine new lots are in the works, adjoining the future Central Park on the new island. Due for official launch in November or December this year, the lots will range in size from 400sqm to 650sqm.

More land opportunities are on the horizon in March - April next year when Pelican Waters releases its next range of waterfront lots. This offering will feature a collection of 36 waterfront, park view and waterview homesites ranging from 400sqm to 800sqm in size, with prices yet to be announced.

At Caloundra City Private School, the pandemic has cemented the direction we had planned, as it highlighted the need to focus on teaching our students transferrable skills. Those who have been able to pivot and transfer their businesses to the new way of being during 2020 have been able to survive and even flourish. Our school’s strategic plan focuses on ten transferrable skills. Our first identified transferrable skill is aptly, a global perspective. The pandemic has revealed to all of us that we do indeed live in a world that is truly connected and we all have an impact on each other, even if we live at opposite ends of the planet. It has been a lesson in building awareness of global issues and how they impact us all.

A more important focus now is on students learning who they are and what they value through self-reflection and building relationships, developing confidence, and thus belief in themselves and what they stand for through evidence and accomplishments. Our aim at CCPS is to develop creative, connected, confident and engaged young people where each important individual student is known within our community for having the skills to be successful.

Our School Motto of ‘Excellence, Integrity, Learning’ drives all that we do.

BERTH NOTICE

OUR TRANSITION INTO A WORLD CLASS BOATIES’ PARADISE IS GAINING STEAM WITH NEW WET BERTHS AND UNDERCOVER STORAGE NOW UP FOR GRABS AHEAD OF THE MARINA’S OFFICIAL OPENING IN LATE 2021.

Years in the planning, Pelican Waters Marina will provide convenient, cost effective wet berths and undercover storage removing the hassle of towing, parking and boat ramp queues.

The marina will be complete with power, fresh water, fuel and an equipped chandlery open seven days a week. We will also operate a full service marina yard catering for all maintenance, detailing and repair work.

Dry boat storage is one of the fastest growing forms of boat storage in the world and a phone call is all it takes to have

your boat launched, retrieved and placed into dry storage.Strong enquiry is already flooding in for the 160 dry stack storage spaces for vessels up to 10m, and the 125 wet berths available for boats up to 15m in length.

A surrounding marina village will feature waterfront cafes, restaurants and specialty businesses.

With the population increasing around the southern end particularly, the marina will provide options for new and existing residents who may not have thought they could own and store a boat.

It will provide a very safe harbour and support services second to none. Located in the heart of a vibrant built-up environment, the facility is completely protected from seas and winds.

Meanwhile, a new bridge and associated roadworks under construction is putting our exciting new island precinct on the path to completion.

The eastern bridge linking the marina and shopping centre to Golden Beach residents via Michael Street is expected to open by December.

It’s one of the major pieces of the puzzle, opening the island precinct, new marina and everything else Pelican Waters has to offer to residents from the Golden Beach side of the estate, through Michael Street and Anning Avenue.

The bridge construction coincides with associated external roadworks including new roundabouts, footpath and reprioritising traffic flow onto Anning Avenue.

The plan is to improve traffic movement by creating a continuous flow for vehicles northbound from Michael Street into Anning Avenue. These works have been required by council in an effort to modify driver behaviour.

The scope of works also includes a pedestrian pathway from Anning Avenue and the Pelican Waters boundary with Diamond Head, a roundabout at the intersection of Beryl and Michael Streets, and another roundabout at Roy St, Golden Beach. - Stay tuned for future updates.

FUN FACTDo you know that in 1974, Michael Street was planned, and the road dedicated as a road reserve on a survey plan, to ultimately connect with the Bruce Highway. That is why it is so wide! The connection was eventually changed through years of development planning so that Michael Street only formed a link with Pelican Waters.

FUN FACTDo you know that the Pelican Waters developers constructed the Bevan Henzell Bridge near the Powerboat Club in 1993 to provide the residents of Diamond Head and Pelican Waters a link over the then Lamerough Creek, now Lamerough Canal.

So proud of our Tech Girls - three teams, three apps all submitted for judging into the epic 2020 Tech Girls Challenge. COVID19 changed the way we did things. Our teams hooked up with their mentors, three volunteers from the Tech industry via video link each week over

the past 3 months. Our girls worked towards creating a solution to a community problem through the creation of an app. Congratulations to one of our awesome Tech Girl teams who were announced the Queensland Regional Winners at the National Tech Girls Showcase last weekend for their Health and Wellness app. You are superstars.

Construction is progressing well and believe it or not, actually on time and in line with the program. As the bright red scaffold is being removed, the contemporary architecture is slowly revealing itself and we are looking forward to welcoming residents from April 2021. The display apartment is now open for inspection by appointment, and our sales office located on Anning Street, Golden Beach is open Monday – Friday 10am to 2pm for anyone wanting to learn more about our Retirement Community. Feedback from incoming residents and prospective purchasers has been extremely positive, with location and proximity to the new Marina precinct, recreation and retail being a key influence in their decision to move in. The all-inclusive maintenance and service model has been very well received along with the many benefits of living within a purpose deign and built community where residents can maintain independence and simply live an easier life.

To learn more, call the team on 1300 367 155 or visit Greg Rayment at the sales and experience office on Anning Avenue – he would love a chat and opportunity to explain our offering.
