Principal’s Report

Last night saw our first Kindergarten Transition evening attended by many of the 2020 kindergarten parents both new and returning. It was great to celebrate the programs and transition strategies we implement to support our Kindergarten students. Thank you to the Early Stage 1 team who put together a comprehensive information session for parents.

Next week will see our Year 4 students attend a Taste of High School Experience as part of their transition to The Jannali HS. Reports from previous years indicate that they will have an excellent day.

Mr Allan took a group of budding musicians to Bandtastic yesterday. This is a magnificent opportunity for students to play a range of new songs with students from schools between Hurstville and Stanwell Tops.

Congratulations to Sam R who competed at the Australian Interschools competition last week at Mt Buller in Victoria. It was an interesting week of weather conditions and visibility. Sam is to be congratulated on his 3rd place in the Division 4 Alpine event.

We hope to see you at KW’s assembly tomorrow at 12pm in the hall.

School News Kurrunulla Dance Festival

Congratulations to all of Como West’s dance groups who performed at the Kurrunulla Dance Festival last week. It was a very spectacular and successful night for our dancers, who have been working towards this performance all year long. All dance groups were recognised with awards on the night with the junior, intermediate and senior dance groups receiving gold awards and the hip-hop group receiving a bronze award.
