Landau is a full service healthcare and identity apparel uniform manufacturer with over 1,600 full-time associates. Landau has four manufacturing plants; 2 in the U.S. (located in Olive Branch, Mississippi and Selmer, Tennessee, 1 in Puerto Cortes, Honduras, and 1 in Merida, Mexico. Landau has total control of these plants so we can respond to your changing needs. Landau also maintains additional strategic partnerships in China, Jordan and South Africa.

Our award winning design team headquartered in Olive Branch, Mississippi consists of seven very talented individuals who travel the world (Paris, New York and Los Angeles) looking for fashion trends which will make your employees proud. We utilize the latest in CAD/CAM technology and partner with the major fabric houses, printers and knit mills to support your design interests.

We design product to meet the needs of an international diverse market. Whether your target market is a large hospital group, a college graduating class, or a large corporation looking to promote its image, Landau can design the medley of products to meet your needs.

At Landau, our business is your image! Implementing the “Quality First” program has enabled Landau associates to take ownership of their work and allows them the ability to identity areas for improvement.

First we inspect the incoming fabric for shade and flaws. This is done by our expert personnel in Olive Branch, Mississippi with the aid of a MacBeth Shade Booth with cool white, incandescent, daylight, and black light sources. Any fabric that does not meet our standards is rejected. Quality control continues throughout the spreading, cutting, and sewing process.

Garment patterns are entered into the computer which then generates the cut. Once the fabric has passed inspection, it is spread and prepared for cutting.

Our “Quality First” program is on going. Once a design, it undergoes a comprehensive design perfection process. Fabrics are tested for performance, and fit is perfected through Landau’s extensive computerized pattern development process.

Inventory Management

Landau’s purchasing department analyzes the production forecasts and evaluates projected needs against current raw material inventories and lead-times.

This model is reviewed weekly against current sales trends and actual inventory position down to the stock keeping unit. If additional production is needed, this systematic process develops production work schedules and analyzes raw material requirements.

Landau has one of the most sophisticated inventory management systems. We monitor our performance across all open SKU’s on a weekly basis.

Landau understands the importance of immediate and complete shipments of apparel to its customers. As a means of achieving the high service levels required, we invest on an on-going basis in both finished goods and raw materials for our customers. Our ability and willingness to invest in customer inventory has played an important role in Landau’s growth and success.

On February 13, 2001, Landau became the first in the United States to install a fully automated flat goods sortation system to pick and pack all orders. This system was designed and installed by Durkopp Alder America, Inc., located in Norcross, Georgia. It is the most highly advanced order system available in this country.

Landau’s 114,000 square foot distribution center is located in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Olive Branch is a suburb of Memphis and is the geographic shipping center of the United States. We have the capacity to stock over 2,500,000 garments.

With this system, your orders are picked, sorted, and packed by automated equipment. The system reads the product’s bar code to send each item from the conveyor belt into the shipping box. This system also automatically generates bills of lading, contents labels, and shipping instructions. All data is real time. Landau Customer Service representatives can tell you where each order is, the number of pieces in each box and order, when the order shipped, via which carrier, and current routing process.

Landau’s state-of-the-art automated sortation system allows us to ship more than 60,000 garments per day.

Located in Olive Branch, Mississippi, 25 full-time Client Services representatives will be available to process your orders, check pricing, and use real time inventory, shipping, and invoicing data to provide you with accurate order status information. To facilitate the process, Landau will assign specific Client Service representative to your account.

The primary function of Landau’s Client Services Team is to handle all orders from input through delivery and guarantee 100% Customer Satisfaction. The Team’s activities include: order taking, returns processing, problem resolution, and program information.

Orders can be placed by calling our toll-free number between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM Central Standard Time Monday through Friday. You can also fax or email orders to us 24 hours a day seven days a week.

Electronic Data Interchange is available for order entry as well as for order invoicing. EDI invoicing is transmitted daily and is a great way to reduce the number of invoices coming into your Accounts Payable Department.

Should you elect to use EDI as your method of ordering, Landau can provide you with Advance Ship Notices. Advance Ship Notices let the ordering locations know how many cartons to expect as well as the contents of each carton shipped. These notices are sent by e-mail and allows your stores to more accurately and efficiently receive orders.

Landau prides itself in the strong relationships that we develop with our partners. We are committed to providing you with the very best service in the industry. This means if you have an issue - we respond! Within most instances we can resolve an issue on the spot. If not, we will provide a plan of action within 24 hours of being alerted to the situation.

Landau constantly measures its Customer Service performance. Our average answer rate is 99%. This means 99% of our calls are answered in 20 seconds or less. Our abandon rate is less than 1% and our average abandon time is 15 seconds. The industry standard for abandon rate is 3% with an average time of 20 seconds.

Order Processing And Fulfillment

Order Fulfillment Process flow charts are included in this presentation. These charts provides detailed descriptions of our processes.

Most orders for stock merchandise are shipped within 24 hours of receipt. Orders requiring special embroidery or embellishment generally ship within ten (10) business days from receipt. Exact shipping dates are given at the time of order input. “Specials” or garments falling outside our normal size range are usually shipped 4 - 6 weeks after complete measurements are received.

At Landau we understand that sometimes a return is unavoidable. When a return is necessary, just call our Client Services Team toll-free and let us know what you need to return. We will immediately send you a return authorization form to be filled out and returned with the unworn or defective garment(s). We will issue full credit or an exchange with no restocking fee. Credits are usually issued within ten (10) business days from the date the return is received at Landau.

Landau has developed a comprehensive customer profile reporting system. You will be issued reports that provide current inventory positions, work-in-process, open order and back order status, sales by style/color/size, and our shipping performance and fill ratios. These reports are available on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. They can also be provided on demand.
