CQ Field Mining Services is a major maintenance and construction company in Central Queensland, providing support to Australia and Pacific regions mining, oil and gas industries since establishment in 2006.As a result of our growth, we have developed individual divisions within the company to better service our clients and provide specialist management, fabrication and maintenance solutions. CQFMS have developed a strong, positive, national and international reputation as providers of quality general engineering and maintenance services with operations in Queensland, Western Australia and PNG. Along with our own internal Quality Assurance Systems, we maintain third party Quality Assurance Accreditation to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008. CQFMS provides a range of services including estimating, engineering and project management facilities that provide our clients with the assurance that all manufactured equipment is proof assembled and tested before it is delivered to site. We have a dedicated in-house qualified Quality Management team as well as Welding and Technology Institute of Australia endorsed International Welding Specialist, Inspector and Structural Welding Supervisor to ensure our works are completed to the highest standard as well as coded welding to Australian and American standards.

Project Delivery

During manufacture and fabrication for our projects, our systems manage the quality assurance from undertaking the project through to completion. Comprehensive reports are collated and provided to our clients during and upon completion of the project. These reports document in detail each step of the process, providing assurance to our clients that their completed product is of the highest quality standard. Our quality assurance reports can be customised to suit each client’s individual needs. CQFMS utilises a master template quality assurance report, to form part of the manufacturer’s data report, for each component of fabrication which include test reports and documents.

Inspection and Test Plans Fabrication (ITPs) detailing our workshop processes and testing regime are included and CQFMS consults with our clients to set the format of the ITP, in order to document the processes including specific hold points, so that each step of process is carried out in accordance with recognised standards . Paint specifications is also listed as well as paint test results, including photos of each step of the blast and paint process.

Tradesman Qualifications and Equipment Certifications: CQFMS supplies all relevant certificates of our tradesmen to demonstrate our personnel are qualified to complete the fabrication to all required welding and fabrication codes including AS/NZS 1554.5:2014 SP, AS/NZS 2980:2007. In addition, CQFMS also implements a comprehensive quality and testing regime to deliver ultimate confidence that the tradesmen we are supplying are competent, not just qualified.

Weld Procedure Qualification Records and Weld Procedure Specifications: CQFMS maintains comprehensive Weld Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR) that are prepared by qualified personnel and form part of our quality system. These procedures are supported by Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) to meet and exceed customer engineering requirements. Non-destructive testing and mechanical testing is performed and documented by an independent party and reports are included in our Quality Assurance system. CQFMS reports compliance to product specifications.
