Diamond General Insurance Limited, formerly Cavmont Capital Insurance Corporation Limited (CCICL) is a

privately owned short term insurance company which was incorporated in the Republic of Zambia on 25th

October 2001. Diamond General Insurance Limited is registered under the Companies Act and is licensed by the

Pensions and Insurance Authority of Zambia to underwrite Non-Life or Short-term Insurance Business.

Diamond General’s main business objective is to create a world class insurance company with excellent claims

payment and risk management services.

The company’s continued growth reflects team spirit and the ability to successfully harness key values which

drive business forward. The unrelenting pursuit of this goal enables Diamond General to attract a high quality of

intellectual capital, thereby establishing and retaining long-term relationships with clients. Diamond General

Insurance has grown rapidly, achieving in excess of 40% compound growth per annum over the last five years.

Shareholders

The Company shareholders are Lava Consortium of Zambia who have a 57% controlling share and Baobab

Holdings of Zimbabwe with 43%.This Company therefore is majority Zambian owned and controlled.

Arthur Ndhlovu Chairman

Mr Ndhlovu is an astute business and accounting professional and is the current Principal

Consultant at Enfin Solutions. Mr Arthur Ndhlovu has mostly worked in the insolvency

and project management and company restructuring sectors.

Larry Kalala Non-Executive Director

Mr. Larry F Kalala is the immediate past Managing Director of Stanbic Bank Zambia Ltd.

His experience spans over 32 years in management at senior level with the ANZ Grindalys

bank and three other top banks in Zambia. During his tenure at Stanbic Bank, the bank

achieved Phenomenal growth in terms of profit after tax, low cost to income ratio and a

very high return on equity when compared to competition.

William P. Saunders Non-Executive Director

Mr. William R Saunders is a British born national and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered

Accountants in England and Wales and is an established resident of Zambia. Mr. Saunders

established WP Saunders chartered accountants in 1992 and is currently a senior partner

for BDO Spencer Stewart Zambia.

Grace Muradzikwa Non-Executive Director

Mrs Grace Muradzikwa has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry across

Southern Africa and is currently Managing Director of NicozDiamond Insurance Ltd of

Zimbabwe the largest short term insurance company in Zimbabwe. Mrs. Muradzikwa

holds a Bachelor of Administration degree and a Masters in Business Administration.

Ian Kumwenda Non-Executive Director

Mr. Kumwenda is a chartered insurer and has over 20 years Industry experience in insurance,

United General Insurance of Malawi and has previously worked for National Bank of Malawi

as well as Commercial Union Assurance.

Miyanda Maimbo-Kahari Non-Executive Director

Ms Miyanda Maimbo-Kahari is Managing Consultant of Prosoft Human Resource Solutions

in Zambia and Zimbabwe and has vast experience in development of strategies for human

resource development. Ms Maimbo-Kahari has previously worked for Celsys Comms of

Zimbabwe as HR, Training & Development Manager as well as DHL International as

Assistant Customer Services Manager

Chief Executive Officer

Edna Kalenga is a seasonal insurer with over 20 years work experience in the industry.

She holds a Master of Business Administration with Herriot-Watt University,

Edinburgh Business School (EBS) Scotland, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) in

Public Administration with the University of Zambia and also an Advanced Diploma

in Insurance. Edna has vast experience in insurance business and has held senior

position in two other insurance companies in Zambia. As Chief Executive Officer for

Diamond, she is responsible of stirring the company strategies and implementing

company policies in line with the Company’s vision of sustained growth and

profitability. Edna is an Associate Chartered member of the Chartered Insurance

Institute (CII) of UK and Member of IOD.

Chief Operating Officer

Farai Dogo is a holder of MBA, MDP, Fellow and Associate of the Insurance Institute

of South Africa, has 18 years working experience of which over 10 years was served in

senior management positions. Farai has worked as Head Strategic Business Unit with

NicozDiamond Limited, Marketing Manager with SFG Insurance Limited and Claims

Manager with Heritage Tanzania Insurance Company Limited. He once served as an

examiner and lecturer for the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe, Chairman of COMESA

Yellow card scheme and a technical member of the Association Insurance of Tanzania.

Chief Financial Officer

Herman Kambo has a career spanning over 13 years across diverse sectors of Oil &

Gas, Banking, Insurance and Audit Practice. He joined the Company on 1st March

2013 and has a wealth of experience in Finance, Treasury Management, Audit and

Risk Management gained from various organization such as Access Bank (Zambia)

Limited and Kobil Zambia Limited. He is a Chartered Accountant and Member of the

Zambia Institute of Accountants. He is also a holder of a Bachelors Degree in

Accountancy from the Copperbelt University. Herman started his career with BDO

where he obtained three years professional accounting experience.
