Bright Brothers Limited

• Bright Brothers Limited is better known as the Brite. The name Brite accounts for one of the greatest plastic moulded products manufacturers in the history of the plastic industry.

• In 1947, One man made the journey from Lahore to Bombay (now Mumbai) at the turning point of India's history.

• T.W. Bhojwani was a man of vision and he saw in the little known material called plastics a whole new world of living. He grasped the opportunity and a quiet revolution began to take place across the country.

• The story of Brite, the Company he built and moulded is in many ways the history of plastics in India.

Today, Brite is a multi-faceted corporation with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities at Pune, Sohna (Gurgaon), Faridabad, Pithampur (Madhya Pradesh) and Pondicherry.

Precision moulding techniques are used and the Company's operations are continuously upgraded through the practice of Kaizen thereby reiterating the Company's commitment to quality and keeping the Company's products abreast with world standards.

The HistoryThe History

• 1947 On July 11 Bright Brothers Limited was incorporated in Mumbai.

• 1948 The Group pioneered injection Molding technology in the Indian Plastic Industry.

• 1962 We commissioned a state-of-the-art factory, at Mumbai.

• 1986 Brite Automotive & Plastics Limited, a company specializing in the manufacture of thermoplastic automotive components was set up in Pithampur meeting requirements of Kinetic Honda, Bajaj Tempo & Hindustan Motors.

• 1989 In March, the Tarapur Plant was inaugurated to cater the needs of the Television Cabinets manufactured by the growing Television Industry.

• 1992 In November, another plant was set up at Thribhuvanai, Pondicherry for molding of large parts for washing machine manufactured by Whirlpool of India Ltd.

• 1994 In October our plant was inaugurated at Sohna, Gurgaon catering to requirements of Maruti Udyog Ltd., Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India Ltd., Sony & Whirlpool of India Ltd.

• 1999 In June our plant was started in Thane.

• 2001 In August Whirlpool Plastic division at Faridabad was acquired for supplies to Whirlpool of India.

• 2005 In January our Pune plant was started for supplies to TELCO and Whirlpool.

• 2006 In January Chennai plant is scheduled to go into operations to meet the requirements of Hyundai Motors India Ltd.

INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE STUDYINTRODUCTION ABOUT THE STUDY Absenteeism: Absenteeism is the term generally used to refer to unscheduled employee absences from the work place. Many causes of absenteeism are legitimate, personal illness or family, but absenteeism also can often be traced to other factors such as a poor work environment or workers who are not committed to their job

Definition:

According to Webster’s Dictionary, “absenteeism is the practice or habit of being an ‘absentee ‘and an ‘absentee’ is one who habitually stays away.”

mentoring relationship.• To improve the fresher’s performance level in the short
