OURSIGNATUREVISMARA WAS BORN OF A VISION,A DREAM: TO CREATE VESSELS WITH OUR HEARTS AND WITH A SOLID SCIENTIFIC BASE, TO COME CLOSERTO THE UNAPPROACHABLE,TO BRING TOGETHER AND INTEGRATE THINGS THAT ARE ONLY SEEMINGLY INCOMPATIBLE ON THE SURFACE.

This is why boat owners, designers and builders have always found a haven at Vismara, where profits and costs make way for enthusiasm and where the wish to create and to experiment opens the doors wide to innovation.

We have always believed in teamwork,in a natural tendency to share successes and failures, with the enthusiasm of those who believe in shared projectsand who work to achieve them;the strength of people moved by a shared idea, of those with a project to dream about and to compare with the ideas and experience of others.

THIS IS THE GREATEST VALUE OF ANY BUSINESS. AND THIS IS THE BEST POSSIBLE EXPRESSION OF THE POTENTIAL THAT EVERY VESSEL IS ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE. HOWEVER, RESEARCH AND DESIGN ARE NOTHING WITHOUT A DREAM, A WISH, OR ENTHUSIASM, WITHOUT A SHARED IDEA THAT LETS THOSE WHO WORK GIVE FREE REIN TO THEIR SKILLS TO CREATE UNIQUE VESSELS.

Techniques and materials can come from anywhere. But very few businesses are able to create such a close and authentic relationship between owner, design and boatyard. This is the strength of Vismara: people, experience and enthusiasm brought together with a scientific approach, lots of research and a firm belief in technology.

OURHISTORYA PATH TOWARDS EXCELLENCEE.

This is a route mapped out by our designer, Alessandro Vismara. Vismara’s roots start in 1985 with Perini Navi and fortifies in 1990 with Baltic Yachts, for which it is still the reference point when it comes to conceptualisation and assistance in the Mediterranean.

From the early international successes of vessels by Vismara Yacht Design, to the prestige of designs, fittings and renovations and refits by Marine Services, the company has never stopped growing in terms of quality service and the rationalisation of boat building activities. A company with the ability to interpret ideas and point choices in the direction of coherence, a principle that has always been a feature of Vismara Style.

OUR PHILOSOPHYEXPERIENCE AND PEOPLE, THESE AREFUNDAMENTALLY IMPORTANT ASPECTS IN DESIGNING AND BUILDING A VISMARA YACHT. STARTING OUT FROM A SHARED DREAM TO BRING OUT THE HEART OF THE MATERIAL AND TURN A DESIGN INTO A UNIQUE CRAFT.

Research that starts out from a meeting of different personalities, choosing each other based on affinity and not convenience.

OUR PHILOSOPHY IS TO TAKE YOU BY THE HAND AND ACCOMPANY YOU THROUGHOUT, HELPING AND ADVISING YOU ABOUT THE BEST POSSIBLE USE OF YOUR BOAT- YOUR COMPANION ON THE SEA.

From the start, the boatyard and the design firm shared the same ethos and the same style: to make top-quality craft featuring high levels of customisation and cutting-edge construction techniques. Craft where performance and ease of handling are enhanced, but in a setting of absolute excellence.

The result was a style, which today is recognised as Vismara Style.A single interlocutor simplifies the relations between boatyard and owner, giving rise to genuine interaction, one that can better interpret the personality and wishes of the client, pointing them towards coherent choices or, in a term more suited to the world of Vismara, consistent ones.

CONSISTENCYVismara has always invested in and believed in research and technology as means of expressing a design philosophy that looks at lightness and performance as goals that are achievable by all, whether regatta craft or ocean cruising vessels. And therefore even in interior design, research and technology intervene to establish an original concept that blurs the boundaries between aesthetics and architecture.A large part of Vismara’s vessels have structural interiors, fixtures and decors, as well as construction materials and components left in view. When it comes to the use of computerised means and software, from predictive programs to 3D simulation, Vismara is always on the cutting edge. From the earliest designs, we have always thought that our work should be regulated by scientific bases. There must be total respect for the Law of Numbers. In other words, every choice needs to be dictated by solid technical reasoning, nothing to do with the empiricism that dominated the design world until the early 1980s. And of course, nothing dictated by business or economic choices beforehand. On the other hand, the world of sailing boats is the home of compromise: it is a world in which the interface is between air and water, between wind and waves, varying in a matrix of infinite combinations. This matrix is made even more complex by aesthetic requirements and also for the need for space, the construction process, costs…To cover all of this, we have coined our own reference parameter, which we term “Consistency”: a rational attempt to align all of our choices on the same level, in the form of an overall plan. At this point, all that is left is to decide, together with the owner, where to set this level or in other words, to identify the aim of the design project and the use of the vessel. So, what is a consistent project? It is a scientific project, where the choices all have the same autonomous, independent value and contribute to building a whole of parts that, like an extremely well amalgamated team, contribute to providing excellent results without creating imbalances.

To follow this set up, Vismara maintains total creative and design independence. Parts suppliers and construction processes are the building bricks we choose, one by one, on the basis of the specific design project. Vismara works with advantage-disadvantage proposals, weights-costs, to achieve the most Consistent result, a result that needs to be sought not just in terms of fittings, materials and technologies, but also in terms of hydrodynamic and design choices in general.

FUNCTIONAL DESIGNOf course, consistency is not enough on its own. We have always believed that the best design product is one that not only brings together form and function, but which also integrates form and material. The first step is to enter the order of ideas that a vessel is not and does not have to be a shell that takes furniture, systems, machinery and equipment to sea. To work as well as possible, it needs to be a single thing, an organic body in which nothing can be termed parasitic, but where everything contributes to the end result. That is why we at Vismara wanted to stimulate an evolution in structures, to make hull and deck a single monocoque and like an egg shell, creating a rigid, homogeneous covering. We have created it with a host of different materials: from the glu-lam wood on Asia to monolithic glass fibre on Querida and carbon and nomex of MisterA 65’ and Mas 78.But the integration of architecture-function has also been moved into the fittings.

«TO COVER ALL OF THIS, WE HAVE COINED OUR OWN REFERENCE PARAMETER, WHICH WE TERM “CONSISTENCY”: A RATIONAL ATTEMPT TO ALIGN ALL OF OUR CHOICES ON THE SAME LEVEL, IN THE FORM OF AN OVERALL PLAN.»

OURPHILOSOPHY

Page 17: Company profile Vismara Marine

17

With Pistrice in 1989, Vismara made the first cruiser-regatta craft where the fittings also formed the structure of the boat, eliminating secondary structures which meant significant weight savings. This philosophy has become more refined on the Koala Hi-Tech, Kirribilli, Mister A and Beauceant.Fittings which are also structure have reached a more complete form in multipurpose furnishings, where a cabin door can also be a door on a wardrobe. The multipurpose areas on Mon-Ami, Magic Touch, and QQ7 are like this, where the layout of furnishings is in symbiosis with the deck and deckhouse and the structures and furnishings are symmetrical. This is a limitless, boundless evolution.Vismara is capitalising on its experiences to transform reinforcements such as planking or the longitudinal tube elements of the ventilation pipes; the stairs in the bulkheads, the bed surfaces in the water tanks. In short, no element is distinctive from the whole. Everything runs into everything else, combining in multiple functions that enhance integration. If we think, for example, of the structure that becomes finish. This can be seen in the aesthetic function of the composite materials left exposed on Koala Hi-Tech, or in the coverings eliminated on the hull and ceilings, thanks to specific painting and construction techniques. The same concept applies on the equipment and installations, which run inside the thickness of the sandwich structure, right into the core, like arteries under the craft’s skin. The result? No need for protection for cables and pipes. Lower weight.More order, rationality, cleanness.

This is a design and construction process that overturns classical methods but which is slowly transforming Vismara craft into organic bodies that live better in their environment because they form a complete whole with each of their component parts.

OWNERSIf it is true that boats have a soul, Vismara boats must have two: the soul of the boatyard, which deeply believes in the design project being created, and that of the client. And it is this dual soul that at Vismara defines the unique, special relationship that is created between the project and its owner. Because we at Vismara have never accepted a job that was not fully approved by all concerned and in which we did not see an opportunity to create, reinvent and develop a concept. The boat owner is seen by Vismara as its greatest value.

Vismara works with the owner as a consultant, proposing design solutions without imposing its ideas and concepts.Together, company and owner work to define the needs of the user and their entourage of co-users, analysing the sensations and tastes, taking on board their doubts and uncertainties to build a craft that truly the reflects the desires of the user. This would seem to be an easy symbiosis, when in actual fact, it is not. Above all for a company such as Vismara, which never wants to miss out on a chance to evolve and to innovate.

Therefore, what is needed is a constant exchange of ideas and a mutual cultural commitment to develop the different points of view and be sure of serenity behind every decision. It is Vismara’s firm conviction that the success of a project is directly proportionate to the owner’s investment: not in economic terms, but in terms of time. Time to look carefully at their choices; time to understand the technical implications. The more time that the owner dedicates to looking closer at technical themes, the more they will make them their own, arriving even at switching the roles so that the owner becomes the true project manager, absolute master of a boat that they know right down to the smallest detail. This is a cultural set up that has allowed Vismara to have as clients people such as the most famous architects, important tech entrepreneurs and professionals who might not always be experts, but who are certainly motivated by a great desire to understand. And it is thanks to them that Vismara has been able to travel this path and it is to these people that Vismara owes the opportunities to innovate that have been so characteristic of the company’s work over the last few years.

RESEARCH &DEVELOPMENTGUESSWORK IS NOT ENOUGH TO OVERTURN CLASSICAL METHODS.BY DOING ITS WORK CONSCIENTIOUSLY, VISMARA HAS ALWAYS FOLLOWED THIS SIMPLE AXIOM: THERE IS NO DESIGN WITHOUT INNOVATION, AND INNOVATION IS A RISK IF THERE ARE NO SOLID TECHNICAL FOUNDATIONS.

Scientific research in the dual setting of hydrodynamics and aerodynamics has allowed Vismara to develop hull shapes, sail plans and keels. VPP programs, tests in tanks, and systematic hulls have supported the development of the company since its inception, supplying the necessary support to design decisions.

Starting with the assumption that a sail yacht is a unit comprised of forms and structures, research has allowed Vismara to look better at the relationship between shapes, structures and construction materials.

And so, over the years, Vismara has always carried out pioneering activities: from the bonded monolithic structure to vacuum

pre-pregs, baked in the oven, to the latest vacuum infusion systems. Structural analysis uses finite element modelling from the aerospace and aeronautical industries to optimise laminates and to increasingly integrate structures with fittings and installations.

However, it doesn’t end here: research is constant, for example in the design area too. In ergonomics, space division, movement elements and on to the use of new finishing materials. It is a whole comprised of factors, which has led Vismara to create craft that combine great usability with advanced structural and hydrodynamic optimisation concepts. In short, another boost for the concept of fast cruising yachts with the same basic design as a regatta craft. For many years, Vismara has been working to pass on to the cruiser the conviction, or better still, claim, that their vessel can hold the sea, while moving like a modern racer.

This is true to the point that, with the restrictive regatta rules, modern high-tech fast cruisers have now exceeded the performance of regatta vessels. If we add a better construction and more careful finishes, then it is possible to understand the leap forward made by the entire industry.

AN UNPRECEDENTED REVOLUTIONARY PROJECT. THE RESULT OF A COLLABORATION BETWEEN VISMARA DESIGN STUDIO & THE INTERIOR DESIGNER LUCA DINI.

A combination that leads to the creation of an advanced craft in style & features where light & air are the main characters, thanks to the large windows in the hull & in the deckhouse. This craft is perfectly in line with Vismara’s style, characterized with high technological standards, modern design, lightweight materials & attention to details which ensure lightness, speed, safety & livability. The exterior areas are comfortable & elegant with wide seating spaces for guests & a large stern area dedicated to the ‘spa zone’. This zone contains 2 Adjustable & concealed ‘chaise longue’ made of folding teak panels around the Jacuzzi with added mattresses on top, while not in use straighten up & become a part of the deck. All enriched by the use of design features such as upholstered seats, large living zones on deck protected by special tents system made of carbon tubes which can be glassed surfaces & the careful study of Vismara design studio with the designer Luca Dini, made the interior incredibly bright.

The large saloon has a variable space layout thanks to the use of modular, elegant & linear sofas, while the dining area can be transformed into an open lounge bar while opening the hard top windows. The hydraulic hard top sliding system is hidden inside the structure. The special inflatable sealing system guaranties a full isolation for the whole system. The guest rooms are characterized by the use of furniture surrounded by RGB illumination system that changes colors & creates different scenario & mood.

All furniture is a structural element, this tremendously benefits the weight & rigidity of the boat. A careful study of natural & artificial lighting, combined with the use of special coating materials, such as the multicolored resin that covers the walls create a real peace of art & make staying on board even more enjoyable. The special carbon hull, designed with the shape of the new Vismara sport ‘Meta’, including an under floor lifting keel that do not interfere with the interiors & a generous sail plan, benefits not only the ‘easy cruising’ but also the racing winning potentials. Like all the latest Vismara projects also the V80’ is equipped with high technologies such as Vismotica- integrated control systems that simplify the use & monitoring of utilities on board while also optimizing power consumption.

THE DESIGN PHILOSOPHY FOLLOWS THE ETHOS THAT HAS BEEN GUIDING VISMARA BOATYARD SINCE THE FOUNDATION OF THE COMPANY MAINTAINING THE CONCEPT OF ‘USER FRIENDLY’ & TECHNOLOGICAL BOATS. THE SUCCESSFUL COMBINATION BETWEEN ‘EASY TO USE’ & ECO-COMPATIBILITY IS THE GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT OF THE VISMARA BOATYARD: THE V 50.02 HYBRID.

THE PROJECTThe design of the V 50.02 Hybrid was born from the wish of the Vismara boatyard to follow the motto “CLEAN SEA, CLEAN AIR,” in response to a growing demand for accountability to the environment by modern society. The V 50.02 Hybrid was developed & designed with the goal to create a landmark in the world production of pleasure yachts that will others to realize also eco-compatible crafts.

THE DESIGNThe design philosophy follows the ethos that has been guiding Vismara boatyard since the foundation of the company maintaining the concept of ‘user friendly’ & technological boats. Bright & spacey interiors, comfortable & well organized deck plans, creating a better interaction between user, environment & automated systems. For example, an automated system such as Magic trim or a steering joystick are a living proof for how docking maneuvers or sails adjustment can become easier, comfortable & safer. These are just some of the features that embody the Vismara philosophy.

THE SYSTEMMany technical features characterize the V 50.02 Hybrid, one particular is the hybrid propulsion system that allows to alternate between a use of a diesel engine or an electric. This solution means that it is one possible to sail using only the electric motor that is powered by the batteries on board. The hybrid propulsion system main benefits are: access to protected marine areas, less pollution & sailing in complete silence & harmony with the nature. The hybrid system includes sophisticated & long living lithium batteries that are proved to be less polluting compared to the normal lead batteries. The new power regeneration system takes the driving force from the electric motor during navigation with motor during navigation under sail power. it gives an excellent energy autonomy that is rarely seen on other systems.

THE EFFECTThe lightness & hydrodynamic efficiency of the craft have an important effect on the engine propulsion system. The outstanding light weight & advanced hull of the V 50.02 Hybrid & a high performance under sail power, means installation of a reduced power engine & significant savings in fuel consumption. Not only, but choosing an engine with NOx, HC & PT emissions is approved by the stringent restrictions of the Green Star notation concerning ‘emissions of internal combustion engines’.

HULLThe entire hull construction is made by ‘a sandwich’ structure, using unidirectional and biaxial carbon UT700, vacuumed in 0,8 bar with epoxy matrix Ampreg 22. Hull, deck, structures and bulkheads - acclimatized 24 hours at room temperature - are cooked in a controlled temperature of 60° for 12h. Hall chain shape, a trademark of the Vismara shipyard, providing a longer water line, comfort and speed when heeling.

DECKThe bow is characterized by a ‘slim’ shape, with deck solutions designed to concentrate all weights in the centre, double steering in a very advanced external layout. The brightness inside is guaranteed be the seven deck hatches in addition to the lateral deckhouse windows. The Genoa sheets are placed above deck while mainsheet is positioned between the benches of the cockpit and steering.

SUN FRIENDLYStriking immediately are the high efficient solar panels, laid on deck with a nominal capacity of 400w. Each of the 4 solar panels is connected to a regulated charger dedicated to ensure the stability of the system and preserving the best state of batteries. Choosing components with less consumption in theory create a self-sufficient energy saver boat. Another very particular and relevant installation is the spectra water maker Ventura 200, that produces 31lt/hour, consuming only 9amp, it is able to produce 62 liters in just a couple of hours consuming only 216wh and powered by solar panels only. Able to operate during sailing, with engine off and no generator. INTERNALThe interiors include a kitchen "c" shaped, two symmetrical aft cabins, equipped with bathroom and a big and comfortable owner cabin forward with separated shower room and WC room.

CONSTRUCTIONThe whole construction is made by a sandwich core with structural materials in advanced composites using unidirectional and biaxial carbon fibers impregnated and vacuumed in epoxy resin. Male models of hull are shaped under numerical control. INTERIORSThe interior provide a queen size bed in the bow, two sofa-beds on each side to stern, an electrified toilet, a fridge of 40lt. Carbon structures and structural furniture painted have a carbon look. Using a stepped deck mast, maximum beam of 3.10 M and maximum height of 1.60 M (higher then the standard) leaved a wide and comfortable space respect to a yacht in this category and measure.

RIGThe Vismara V34DS has a stepped deck carbon mast with 2 spreaders in 30° without a backstay. Mast height is considered on the basis of stability studies. The deck plan was design for a double use: regatta and cruising with a self tacking staysail or 110% for regatta. The maneuvers are divided in: • 2 Winches 40 electric heading to bow for staysail & genoa halyards,

reef, outhaul & external tack non ducted. • 2 Winches 46 rewind radial next to the helmsman for main sheet,

main halyard/code 0 & furlers all ducted.• With the possibility to use the staysail sheets instead of the bow

MOTOR YACHT LINE“Vismara Motoryachts Line” represents the transfer of Vismara construction technologies and design approach from the sailing world to motor yachts. The aim of this shift towards the “motor” sector is that of designing a more marine type of hull compared to those made by the competition; what this means is

YACHTS THAT ARE ABLE TO PLANE EVEN AT REDUCED SPEEDS, AND ALSO USE ENGINES WITH LIMITED POWER ON ACCOUNT OF THE LIGHTWEIGHT CONSTRUCTION.

A NEW PROJECT DEVELOPED HAND IN HAND WITH THE OWNER OF THE NEW MY90 IN ORDER TO CREATE A PRODUCT WITH UNIQUEfeatures combined together for a special performance for cruising using the Vismara formula of: advanced composite construction = light weight = small engines = less fuel consumption & noise which promise a good stability in rough sea, comfort, long range navigation and safety just as an explorer vessel.

The MY90 is an evolution of the Vismara 68 Navetta, in the design and construction approach, developing it in the theme «light sailing» with precise input of its owner, who wanted unique characteristics, not present in other products on the market: maximum performance at around 35 knots for quick transfer, seaworthiness and comfort of a displacement, range and security of an explorer vessel. This resulted in a modern motor yacht, where technology plays a dominant role, in style Vismara. The guarantee of a high quality construction, able to maintain its value over time, completes the picture of a project not only luxurious, but anticipates the concept of yachting in the coming years. The medium-light displacement is obtained thanks to a construction with advanced composite materials and computational fluid dynamics programs for the hull design, all in order to reduce the hull resistance. It is also the first boat of this size with the «reverse bow», developed in military vessels to obtain a better penetration of the wave = more comfort while cruising in rough seas.

Extensive studies have led to an efficient propulsion through the use of ducted propeller 6 blades «high skew», rudders and side arms with propeller in hydrodynamic profiles specially designed. 1700 Hp for 2 engines, in a speed of 30 knots and a range of 1,000 miles at 25 knots cruising thanks to its light weight, the boat planies at only 10 knots, providing the ability to navigate in low speed with high efficiency and low fuel consumption. The maneuverability is ensured by a modern system of bow and stern thrusters forward and backward or to spin the boat anywhere needed.

Thanks to modern integrated systems and the electronic energy management for most of the functions it is possible it is possible to feed air conditioning and all others 230v facilities just from batteries noise and ecology of use. For a further reduction in weight it is possible to use lithium batteries aesthetically, the ‘clean’ style characterized by a large deck with solutions like concealed anchor system under the hull, companionways and flush deck, retractable bollards and mooring winches hidden and walled raised without handrails, as well as a very large fly bridge, provides accommodation for a 3-4 crew members, 2 laundry rooms and aft storage with separate entrance, 2-4 vip guest cabins. The whole furnishings effect is rich and comfortable, as Vismara’s tradition, with sandwich teak paneling used also as structural panels and therefore very light. The garage allows stowage of a 4 m dinghy, while the other speed boats or jet skis can be loaded on the fly bridge thanks to the long crane arm.

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY CONSTRUCTION AND THE INTEGRATION OF STRUCTURAL PARTS WITH ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES HAVE IN FACT MEANT A REDUCTION IN DISPLACEMENT OF 30-40%and as a result of this, a lower installed power and therefore, consumption has also been cut. MY68 is a functional craft for long navigation; it features a clean-cut modern design and entirely safe performance of the highest level, even in moderate seas.

The yacht has a sleek, aggressive profile that is the result of research into the style themes used on warships. The choice has fallen on a design line that favours balance between the hull and the superstructure, working on their respective proportions. A deep “V” hull guarantees seaworthiness. The prominent feature of the bow area is its perfectly vertical box:one notes the high freeboard that contributes to the sleek feel of the hull while concealing the small rear deckhouse. The stern is completed with a dinette for 10 people and a very roomy sun deck. Access to interior areas is made easy with slideaway doors.A double aspect galley (towards the interior and the exterior) serves both dinettes at the same time as well as being handy as a bar unit.

The helm station area has a twin seat which is centrally positioned for 180° vision while sailing. Behind it is a small sofa for two people and another large sofa nearby for even better conviviality between the skipper and guests. This area has 360° windows to make the most of natural light and offer maximum views of the sea.The interiors below deck consist of just two cabins.

The large master cabin is located in the bow area and contains a vanity unit, TV unit, lots of wardrobe space and a double bed, behind which is a bathroom with large shower cubicle. The VIP cabin has two queen beds as well as direct access to the private bathroom.Crew quarters are located in the stern area, and can be accessed through the large hatch in the sun deck. There are two crew cabins with shared bathroom with shower. The engine room is located between the guest cabin and the crew quarters to offer maximum privacy and independence to the two areas. The aft door has compass opening so that it can also be used as a bathing platform as well as to facilitate manoeuvres for the tender, which can be up to 3.20 m in length.

THE VISMARA NAVETTA IS CHARACTERIZED BY A PRECISE DESIGN EFFORT MADE TOWARDS A TOTAL ONBOARD SYSTEMS INTEGRATION FOR THE MOST USER FRIENDLY APPROACH TO SAILING,WHILE NAVIGATING AND OR MANOEUVRING IN THE PORT.This new line of Motor Yacht Vismara has started with the bigger sister ship navetta MY68 from which have been derived the construction technology and the hull design for the MY56.A clear example of the Vismara construction technology is the use of the advanced composites and the clever integration between furniture and styling elements together with the structure of the hull and deck that reduce in a very significant way the displacement (-30/40%) allowing a substantial reduction of drag, and power for propulsion and therefore, the fuel consumption. Moreover and most important, the V56 can get to plane at 12 kts, that is a very low speed compared to the other yachts of this size and this is due to her lightness.

CONCEPTNavigation in lightness, high performance, long range cruising, safety and ease off handling are the characteristics that summarize the concept of this state of the art and unique Vismara MY56 Navetta. The Vismara yard has in the forerunner of this guidelines stretching the boundaries of research with new concepts and trying to improve every aspect of design and construction. Typical examples are the care for the environment, the continuous research for more rational and efficient systems in order to reduce weight and simplify use, reduce maintenance and running costs for a final more freedom and range of use.

DESIGNVismara is well known for modern styling and innovation in shapes, always inspired by the global cultural changes, latest technology, new materials and new way of thinking. The application of this concepts has created a yacht characterized by a total new approach on motoring never seen on motor yachts. Lightness and speed are reached with modern materials and small engines, stylistically driven by a military concept. The white colour of the hull, however, reduces, the aggressive look of the shapes and helps together with the sandwich construction to maintain an internal thermal isolation. This is a typical example of Vismara integrated design approach.

THIS IS VISMARA’S FIRST WORK IN THE MOTOR-POWERED SECTOR. IT IS A PILOT PROJECT BOTH IN TERMS OF ITS CREATION AND ALSO OF ITS PROPULSION. The concept behind the development of this boat was to bring the technological characteristics and design techniques from sail-powered and racing vessels to the world of motor-driven crafts. This includes the construction of the hull, the bulkheads and the structural systems, using GRP composites with carbon reinforcements and vacuum lamination processes using epoxy resins.

DESIGNUsing these materials and this construction system is what makes the difference: “BWave” is a an extremely lightweight craft, which can reach a speed of up to 35 knots, even when using engines that are not excessively powerful, therefore, reducing consumption and noise levels. Among other advantages, a lightweight boat can plane under less power than a heavier one and therefore have a more pronounced “V”-shaped hull and stern, which in turn means, less impact on the waves and better sea keeping. It is a motor-driven boat for sailing in any sea conditions. It is also a craft on the cutting edge in terms of propulsion; it uses the Volvo IPS boat propulsion system and this means increased efficiency on the account of the azimuth thrusters, rotating prop stern drives. The boat can therefore turn on itself and move sideways without using a bow thruster.

INTERIOR LAYOUTThe interior layout is very specific, one aspect of this is the dinette, which has been moved above deck been capable to open the side windows and hard top for a direct contact with the sea. The ultra-modern styling of the furnishings and the materials are highly reminiscent of the Vismara “sailing” style, with painted compound bulkheads and separate furnishings in teak. The layouts, inside and out, are state of the art, for a new type of boat that is somewhere between an open and a hard top. It starts with the design for an open-top craft, but it also offers the comfort, shade and protection against the elements of a hard top. This is all thanks to a full-glass, opening roof, covering an area that is not actually inside or out, but both at the same time. The design emphasis is the great comfort on deck where besides the opening roof and side windows, there is a saloon, sundeck, concealed tender and enough room for water scooter and surfboards. The service areas are inside, below deck, and are the result of a top-level design project that has aimed to enhance comfort and practical use, all combined to reveal an elegant but sporting style. Under deck there are two large double cabins, a large well-equipped galley and two bathrooms with separated showers.

INSTRUMENTSThis craft also has a computerized control system, the SCS, which makes sure that it is fully monitored by a computer when it comes to electrical equipment and navigation, communication and entertainment systems, all of which are controlled by monitor.

THE VISMARA PHILOSOPHY IS EXPANDING, FROM THE SAILING YACHT INTO THE MOTOR YACHT WITH THE SAME BASIC CONCEPT. After the MY68 and MY56, now its the turn of a 43 footer, a result of the design approach and construction methods that have destinguished normaly to the Vismara high performance sailing yacht shifted into the motor yacht.

At the heart of the project, advanced technology & composites integrated with structural elements that lead to a significant reduction of displacement, estimated in 30/40%. This also significant benefits in fuel consumption and respecting the environment.Tests have shown that the Vismara motor yacht planing speed is very low compared to others in the same category. Navigating in lightweight, high performance, long distance and safety are the mile stones in form of this new 43 footer project, following the methodology that always stands Vismara. It is, therefore, a winning philosophy that express the present time and market requirements. A new way of living the navigation, that has found a consensus of public, as evidenced by the range extension.

Lightness = Less Power Needed = Less Consumption And Pollution Lightness = Low Speed While Planing = Conforth In High Sea

Vismara MY43 - specification of which has been built on the basis of the owners requests made with a sandwich structure in composites using advanced fiber unidirectional and biaxial type «e». Hull, deck, and bulkheads, after 24 hours of acclimatization at room temperature are cooked at a controlled temperature of 60 ° for 12 hours. Hull, deck and superstructure painted with epoxy high flexibility and low wight.

As the other models in the fleet Vismara, this is a yacht with a strong personality where the design reflects on a better use. Starting from the cockpit features: a large «c» sofa in the aft area and forward 2 chaise longue. In the center, a folding table in composite that can be adapted to the full couch to create a single, large sunbathing zone. Behind the driver’s a double seat (with seat back rest raised and convertible), MY43 has a comfortable kitchen with work surface, refrigerator, cooking area and sink. The bow area hosts the second huge storage space (the other is under the sofa), covered with costumized cushions.

The interiors construction are made of a lightweight core sandwich construction. The floor is plywood marine structures, removable for full inspection of bilge. The layout provids a living area, which is accessed by a sliding door in the cockpit.

The dinette is furnished with a large sofa that has storage areas below, and a hidden table that reises from the floore when in use. Original idea is the coffee corner with worktop/support, small pantry below and coffee machine anchored abouve. On the right side of the dinette there is the toilet, with separated shower. The open space in MY43 completes with a great forward cabin bed furnished around with a wide left couch and cabinet on the right.

The MY43 is powered by 2 outboard 250 hp yamaha, for a maximum speed of 41 knots and cruising speed (medium load) of 25 knots.
