LOGO/MASTHEADThe masthead of the magazine is shown here no matter what page of the website you go on to ensure the audience know they are still on Companies website. The logo is also in the conventional place of the top left of the webpage and is larger than all text surrounding it.

NAVIGATION BARThis is a must have for all websites, companies bar follows the colour scheme of the binary opposites black and white to make the options clear. It also highlights what the magazine is about as it gives options such as ‘fashion’, ‘celebs’ and ‘beauty’ which summarises the magazines genre for the audience.

ADVERTISMENTThis is how the company makes money to continue publishing. The advertisements are not random they are linked to the genre of magazine. The aussie advert is for there top of the range hair products which relates to the beauty element of the magazine.

SEARCH BARAnother convention of websites, this allows the audience to search for specific articles or interviews that they may have heard of. It gives them the freedom of choice on the website and allows them to guide there selves through the

sit.

FEATURE ARTICLEThis story is promoted prominently on the home page of the site and therefore is one of the magazines more important articles. It is also linked to recent events in fashion, e.g. London fashion week. The images are bright and stand out compared to the running black and white theme of the site. The images are also relatable to the target audience.

SOCIAL MEDIATechnology is important for promotion and company has realised this and provided options for the views to use multi-media to connect with them. They have also added originality by using quirky hand draw versions of the famous logos.

EXAMPLES OF PULLDOWNS FROM THE SITE

This section shows the fashion elements of the webpage and the below section shows the beauty element of the page, the headings are all very clear with the use of black on white which is seen throughout the site. It is also made very simplistic so that users of all capabilities on the internet can use it and understand it. The names are also made very eye catching and memorable through the use of alliteration. For example ‘Tricky trends’ and ‘Best Beauty Buy’ roll of the tongue and are fun compared to other blander options. The colour scheme also varies from the typical black and white with the introduction of a pastel blue. This colour stands out compared to the black navigation bar and bring a lighter tone to the page. The images also provide an insight to what the articles are about and draw in the audiences to read them.

LARGE IMAGESThe images are very important on a fashion website because they visualise to the audiences what is being discussed and provides more information. They also catch the readers eyes and make them want to read more. They must also link to the article, for example on the above we can see that the article is focused on Halloween outfits and the top is black and shows a horror themed font. As well as this we can see a cat beanie and a black velvet dress which would also immediately associate with the theme of Halloween without being too eccentric. The images also look fashionable and appealable to the audience, something that they could see there selves wearing.

ARTICLE HEADING AND TAG LINEThe heading instantly informs the readers what the story is about without any messing around. It is very simple and doesn’t include an puns or alliteration etc to try and draw readers in. The tag line however is more interesting and plays around with words to create a fun and exciting tone for the article. The font choice also contrasts to the simple Tahoma of the heading and looks quirky and individual. It almost looks like a type writer style therefore links with the quirky fashion included.

The purple buttons above the image allow the users to easily flick between images and choose to read about any that appeals directly to them. This allows the user to experience there own individuality and easily move throughout the website at their own pace.
