PURPOSE To determine the prices of different classes of topical glaucoma medications, laser trabeculoplasty, and trabeculectomy for countries worldwide To compare costs of different glaucoma treatment options between countries relative to the median annual household income in each country To determine the extent by which the price ratio between a brand name and generic formulation of latanoprost vary among countries worldwide Price of 1 Year Supply of Eye Drops Relative to Median Annual Household Income (MHI) Key Findings: There is considerable country-to-country variation in the prices of topical medications, laser trabeculoplasty, and trabeculectomy Generic timolol was the cheapest topical glaucoma medication in all countries studied, but in 7 countries, it costs 1% of median annual household income The United States has some of the highest prices for glaucoma treatments and the highest price ratio of brand name to generic latanoprost Overall, glaucoma therapies may be more expensive for the average resident of a developing country than for the average resident of a developed country Questions? Data Collection •  Collected data on the retail prices for all classes of topical
