AS American Supplement

CS Chorus Section

4 Before Jehovah’s awful throne

14 O Lord, I will delight in Thee

26 Begin my tongue, some heavenly

theme

27 Beyond the farthest bounds of earth

30 God of concrete, God of steel

36 O bright eternal One

38 O Lord of every shining constellation

39 O mighty God! When I thy works

consider

41 The little cares which fretted me

51 Love has a language, all its own

making

68 The name of Jesus is so sweet

73 All my heart this night rejoices

74 All our hearts rejoice this morning

95 Blessed are the pure in spirit

100 Thou art the Way: to Thee alone

108 Behold him now on yonder tree

110 Hark, my soul! it is the Lord

111 I met the good Shepherd

113 It is the Blood that washes white

116 Jesus, Thy blood and righteousness

130 Others he saves, himself he cannot

save

134 Was it for me, the nails, the spear

140 Would Jesus have the sinner die?

145 In the shadow of the cross

155 Welcome, happy morning

165 See how great a flame aspires

167 Ten thousand times ten thousand

169 There is coming on a great day of

rejoicing

172 Thy kingdom come, O God!

185 Son of God! Thy cross beholding

190 Come, gracious Spirit, heavenly

Dove

191 Come, Thou everlasting Spirit

193 Holy Spirit, hear us

196 Lord God, the Holy Ghost

198 O Holy Ghost, on Thee we wait

202 Spirit of God, that moved of old

208 Come, Holy Ghost, all sacred fire

211 Descend, Holy Spirit, thou guest of

the soul

213 Holy Ghost, we bid Thee welcome

223 The God of Abraham praise

225 Afar from Heaven thy feet have

wandered

226 Almost persuaded now to believe

228 Art thou weary, art thou languid

232 Come, O come with me where love is

beaming

233 Come, sinners, to Jesus, no longer

delay

234 Come, sinners, no longer delay

236 Come, ye disconsolate, where’er ye

languish

240 Hark! the voice of Jesus calling

242 Have you heard the angels singing

244 In your heart of hearts are you a

trifle weary

248 Jesus is tenderly calling thee home

249 Joyful news to all mankind

250 Love of love so wondrous

251 O do not let thy Lord depart

252 O have you not heard of the

beautiful stream

255 Only a step to Jesus

256 Return, O wanderer, return

259 Sinner, how thy heart is troubled!

260 Sinner, see yon light

261 Sinner, wheresoe’er thou art

263 So near to the Kingdom! yet what

dost thou lack?

266 Ten thousand thousand souls there

are

267 The heart that once has Jesus known

273 We have a message, a message from

Jesus

275 We’re traveling home to Heaven

above

285 As I am before thy face

287 Drawn to the cross which thou hast

blest

288 I bring thee my cares and my

sorrows

296 No, not despairingly

297 Not what these hands have done

304 She only touched the hem of His

garment

305 Weary of wandering from my God

307 When shall my love constrain

312 Come, comrades dear, who love the

Lord

317 God’s anger now is turned away

318 How tasteless and tedious the hours

320 I am drinking at the fountain

321 I am saved, blessedly saved, by the

Blood

322 I am saved, I am saved

330 I have seen His face in blessing

343 I’ve found a friend, of friends the

fairest

345 I’ve found a Friend, O such a Friend!

350 Jesus saved me! O the rapture

352 Living in the fountain

355 My God, I am thine

359 My robes were once all stained with

sin

360 My Saviour suffered on the tree

364 O bliss of the purified, bliss of the

free!

368 O Jesus, O Jesus, how vast thy love

to me!

373 Once I heard a sound at my heart’s

dark door

375 Once I was lost, on the breakers

tossed

377 Once there is above all others

379 Pleasures sought, dearly bought

388 There was a Saviour came seeking

his sheep

391 Though I wandered far from Jesus

392 ‘Tis the promise of God full salvation

to give

401 With joy of heart I now can sing

403 With stains of sin upon me

406 You may sing of the joys over Jordan

408 Awake, awake! Fling off the night

413 Come, with me visit Calvary

414 Eternal Light! Eternal Light!

418 Have you on the Lord believed?

424 I thirst, thou wounded Lamb of God

432 Jesus, thy purity bestow

446 O God of light, O God of love

453 O Thou to whose all-searching light

457 Send out Thy light and Thy truth,

Lord

460 There are wants my heart is telling

465 Walk in the light: so shalt thou know

468 Why should I be a slave to sin

469 With my faint, weary soul to be

made fully whole

470 With my heart so full of sadness

478 Brightly beams our Father’s mercy

481 Come, Thou burning Spirit, come

484 Earnestly seeking to save and to heal

489 I bring Thee my heart to fill

494 In their appointed days

500 King of love so condescending

509 Master, I own thy lawful claim

513 My mind upon Thee, Lord, is stayed

515 O blessed Saviour, is Thy love

517 O Lord, Thy heavenly grace impart

526 The love of Christ dost me constrain

533 What shall we offer to our Lord

535 All glory to Jesus be given

536 At peace with God! How great the

blessing

541 I sought for love and strength and

light

544 Life is great! So sing about it

546 Now I feel the sacred fire

547 O Christ, in Thee my soul hath found

551 Show me Thy face, one transient

gleam

572 Forgive our sins as we forgive

592 Jesus, and shall it ever be

594 Jesus, I fain would find

597 Jesus, my truth, my way

601 Jesus, the gift divine I know

606 Lead, kindly light, amid the

encircling gloom

616 My Maker and my King

618 Not only, Lord, on that great day

629 Saviour, we know thou art

632 Still, still with Thee, when purple

morning breaketh

635 Take Thou my hand and guide me

638 Thou Lamb of God, whose precious

Blood

639 Thou Shepherd of Israel, and mine

651 Come, Holy Ghost, our hearts inspire

654 Lamp of our feet, whereby we trace

658 Thy word is like a garden, Lord

659 Blest be the dear uniting love

664 O there’s joy in every heart

666 Each day is a gift supernal

671 Glory to Thee, my God, this night

672 My God, how endless is Thy love!

676 Sun of my soul, Thou Saviour dear

683 Go, labor on, spend and be spent

684 God’s trumpet is sounding: To arms!

is the call

689 O soldier, awake, for the strife is at

hand

694 Soldiers fighting round the Cross

697 Soldiers of the Cross, arise

703 To the war! To the war! Loud and

long sounds the cry

708 Who’ll fight for the Lord everywhere

709 A friend of Jesus! O what bliss

712 Begone, unbelief

723 Have faith in God, my heart

728 I dwell within the sacred place

729 I kneel beside Thy sacred Cross

739 Let thy heart be at rest

746 Now I have found the ground

wherein

751 Peace, perfect peace, beyond all

understanding

762 Though Thy waves and billows are

gone o’er me

767 Unto the hills around do I lift up

775 All round the world the Army

chariot rolls

781 Unfurl the Army banner

784 Come, let us use the grace divine

788 Jesus, Thou hast won us

790 When you find the cross is heavy

799 Earthly kingdoms rise and fall

804 Ho, my comrades, see the signal

805 In the fight, say, does your heart

grow weary?

806 I’ve found the secret of success

812 My soul, be on thy guard!

816 Strive, when thou art called of God

819 We are sweeping through the land

839 Hushed was the evening hymn

844 Jesus wants me for a sunbeam

845 Saviour, like a shepherd lead us

849 The wise may bring their learning

851 We are the hands of Jesus

853 When, His salvation bringing

856 For your holy book we thank you

857 Greatest joy is found in serving Jesus

861 Lord of my youth, teach me thy

ways

866 Soldiers of King Jesus

868 There’s a road of high adventure

869 We find pleasure in the Army

870 We praise thee, heavenly Father

872 Above the waves of earthly strife

873 Beautiful land, so bright, so fair

874 Brief is our journey through the

years

875 Day of judgment! Day of wonders!

877 For ever with the Lord!

878 For those we love within the veil

880 How happy every child of grace

883 Lord, I care not for riches

884 O how I’d like to see His face

885 O soul, consider and be wise

886 O think of the home over there

5 Be not dismayed whate’er betide

6 Blessing and honour, glory and power

7 Can we by searching find out God

15 For the fruits of his creation

18 God of all ages and Lord for all time

20 God of the open spaces

22 God, who made the earth

23 God, whose farm is all creation

32 How deep the Father’s love for us

33 How fearsome and far the universe

runs!

36 I sing the mighty power of God

43 Lord of ages long forgotten

48 O God, you are the Father of all the

human race

54 Praise God for the harvest of orchard

and field

60 Thank you, God, for your gift beyond

words

63 The Lord’s my Shepherd, I’ll not want

64 The splendour of the King, clothed in

majesty

65 There’s the wonder of sunset at

evening

75 Bless the Lord, O my soul

80 Jesus, Jesus, Jesus

82 Jesus, name above all names

83 Jesus! O how sweet the name!

87 Jesus, what a beautiful name

90 O Lord, our Lord

106 While shepherds kept their watching

109 How far is it to Bethlehem?

110 In the bleak midwinter

112 It was on a starry night

114 Light of the world

115 If I were a star I would shine, shine,

shine

117 O come, O come, Immanuel

119 Of the Father’s heart begotten

120 On Jordan’s bank the Baptist’s cry

123 See him lying on a bed of straw

125 The angel Gabriel from Heaven came

127 The virgin Mary had a baby boy

129 We three kings of Orient are

133 Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God

among us

134 Above all powers, above all kings

135 Thou art the King of Israel

136 Before the world began one Word was

there

140 Hear the shout! The King is coming!

141 I danced in the morning when the

world was begun

144 In fancy I stood by the shore, one day

145 It is a thing most wonderful

147 Lord Jesus Christ, you have come to us

148 Make way, make way, for Christ the

King

149 My song is love unknown

155 We have a gospel to proclaim

165 From Heaven you came, helpless babe

169 Here is love as vast as the ocean

171 I cannot tell why he, whom angels

worship

176 Jesus Christ, I think upon your sacrifice

177 Jesus is mighty to save!

181 Let the weak say, “I am strong”

185 My Lord, what love is this

199 Such love, pure as the whitest snow

201 Thank you for the cross, Lord

204 There is a Redeemer

206 Where you there when they crucified

my Lord?

207 What wondrous love is this, O my

soul, O my soul

210 When you prayed beneath the trees

215 You laid aside your majesty

216 Jesus is Lord of all the earth

219 God sent his Son, they called him Jesus

220 Great is the darkness that covers the

earth

221 Hail the day that sees him rise,

Alleluia!

222 He is Lord, he is Lord

223 I know he rescued my soul

236 All hail the Lamb, enthroned on high

237 All Heaven declares the glory of the

risen Lord

238 All my days I will sing this song of

gladness

239 All the world is waiting, waiting, Lord,

for thee

243 Before the throne of God above

246 Christ is made the sure foundation

248 Christ triumphant, ever-reigning

250 Colours of day dawn into the mind

251 Christ was born in Bethlehem,

hallelujah

254 How lovely on the mountains are the

feet of him

261 Lord, the love of your light is shining

264 My Jesus, my Saviour

265 Name of all majesty, fathomless

mystery

270 Open the eyes of my heart, Lord

280 When you asked the simple question

284 God is Spirit, Holy Spirit

287 Lord, renew me in the fire of your

Spirit

295 Come down, O love divine

299 God in you, God in me

303 Lord, possess me now, I pray

313 Spirit of the living God

315 All over the world the Spirit is moving

316 At the moment of my weakness

321 I dare to live the life of faith

323 Lord, hear my prayer, thy power I

claim

330 As we are gathered, Jesus is here

331 Come into his presence

332 Come, now is the time to worship

335 Great God, your love has called us here

337 I will enter his gates with thanksgiving

in my heart

338 Jesus, stand among us at the meeting

of our lives

344 Sing to God new songs of worship

345 To be in your presence

346 We need each other’s voice to sing

352 As water to the thirsty

353 Be still, for the presence of the Lord

355 Beautiful Lord, wonderful Saviour

357 Come on and celebrate

360 Faithful God, faithful God

362 Give me joy in my heart, keep me

praising

363 Give thanks to the Lord, our God and

King

364 Give thanks with a grateful heart

365 He is the Lord and he reigns on high

366 Hosanna, hosanna, hosanna in the

highest

367 I am a new creation

369 I love you, Lord, and I lift my voice

371 I will offer up my life in spirit and

truth

372 I will praise you, Lord, with all my

heart

373 Jesus, be the centre

374 Jesus is Lord! Creation’s voice

proclaims it

375 Jesus, we praise you, now, more than

ever

376 King of kings, majesty

377 Lord, how I love you

378 Lord, I come before your throne of

grace

379 Lord, I lift your name on high

381 Lord, your praises fill both earth and

sky

382 Majesty, worship his majesty

383 Meekness and majesty, manhood and

Diety

384 O give thanks to the Lord, all you his

people

385 O praise ye the Lord! Praise him in the

height

386 Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see

Jesus

389 Now is the time for us to march upon

the land

390 Sing and make music in your hearts to

the Lord

392 You wrote the rhythm of life

393 Tell out, my soul, the greatness of the

Lord!

394 Thank you for every new good

morning

397 This is my desire, to honour you

398 This is the day, this is the day

400 We are standing on holy ground

401 We want to see Jesus lifted high

402 When I look into your holiness

409 Change my heart, O God

415 Do not go home without Jesus

417 Eternal light, shine in my heart

418 Every day they pass me by

445 Turn your eyes upon Jesus

459 God forgive my sin in Jesus’ name

471 Only by grace can we enter

475 Shackled by a heavy burden

477 Thank you for saving me; what can I

say?

483 When I was lost, you came and

rescued me

492 God will make a way

499 It is Jesus I need, it is Jesus indeed

506 Lord, you know that we love you

508 Now none but Christ can satisfy

517 Purify my heart

me

527 When I’m tired and nothing’s going

right for me

530 All my hope on God is founded

532 Day and night show evidence of God’s

creative hand

533 Does Jesus care when my heart is

pained

541 O Christ, you wept when grief was

raw

550 There is a hope that burns within my

heart

562 Yes, the Lord is my Shepherd, I have

all that I need

563 Abba Father, let me be

565 All I once held dear, built my life upon

568 Often I come with my problems and

cares

571 As the deer pants for the water

573 Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart

582 Father, we love you, we worship and

adore you

584 Give me a heart that understands

588 I bring thee my heart to fill

593 In my life, Lord

595 In this quiet moment, still, before thy

throne

601 Lord, I come to you

603 Lord, I would be available to serve

where there is need

608 Make me a channel of your peace

635 When the music fades, all is stripped

away

649 If crosses come, if it should cost me

dearly

658 Lord, save me from yourself

660 My the mind of Christ my Saviour

675 Seek ye first the kingdom of God

684 To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul

687 We are the hands of Christ

695 Will you come and follow me

699 Every promise we can make

700 For the joys and for the sorrows

709 I walk to walk with Jesus Christ

718 Let the heart be at rest

719 Like a mighty river flowing

743 As we come in prayer before you

764 I lift my eyes to the quiet hills

792 Thank you for these quiet minutes

793 The Lord is near; have no anxiety

798 When morning light comes breaking

through

813 For I’m building a people of power

816 Lord, for the years your love has kept

and guided

817 Lord of the Church, we pray for our

on

835 Happiness is to know the Saviour
