Last December we had Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva Mahasattva (Guan Shi Yin Pu Sa), a great festival, which brought manybeneficial impacts on thousands of attendants. It was also a source of many endearments we all cherished.

As you can now remember, it rained heavily on those days, we had to rush order many canopies to shelter from rain. The hugetent that we were in also had many leaks which required pots placed everywhere to collect water. Parking attendants were all wetunder the rain to direct traffic. Kitchen volunteers were busy to serve hot soup to the congregation. Nevertheless, all thosesacrifices were well appreciated as you all were upbringing your Bodhisattva spirit.

This year, to avoid such weather conditions, our Master and the organizing group decided to move this year's date to August. Sothis year Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva Mahasattva (Guan Shi Yin Pu Sa) will take place from 26 to 28 August, we now at theregistration/recruiter group are soliciting your help in whatever aspects that you can.

For this year's festival, we would have the chance to honor 2 great Bodhisattvas, namely Avalokiteshvara and Ksitigarbha. Thisevent is really a great opportunity for us all in to pray together, learn together, work together and sometime disputed one anotherand then at the end we all learned to accept and love each other to achieve the ultimate wisdom.

CSS-Taiwan

On June 15, 2011, the first home of CSS-Taiwan True cultivation Chan Hallis finally opened. Thay took a trip back specifically to host theopening and the boundary purification ceremony.

In Thays speech, he thanked Mr. and Mrs. Guo Nan, Guo Chin for donating thebuilding and financially helped with the remodeling of the Chan Hall. Theirgenerous act resolved the difficulty of CSS-Taiwan not having a home, providing away place for all to practice Bodhisattva path. A path with the spirit of opening andgiving, servicing selflessly, and a path of shiningour inner light on to others.

CSS-Taiwan chairman Lin Fang and HuangTsien Lou expressed their joy of CSS finallyhaving a home in Taiwan. It also means abeginning of responsibility of developing thecenter so more people will have the opportunityto walk the Boddhisattva path with us.

It was a full day of program and activities. Thayled the ceremony of purifying the way place, followed by the blessing of Quan YinBoddhisattva statue and the statue of Venerable Master Hua. Dharma sister Hsu made a briefreport on the history and planning of the True Cultivation Chan Hall, the vision and missionof CSS and CSSs holistic model of cultivation. At the end, Thay spoke dharma to membersand guests. Thay spoke about the Tao of Heaven and Earth, heaven being openness with noobstruction, earth being giving, embracing and compassion. We should truly and diligentlycultivation this dharma. Everyone benefited and was filled with dharma joy.
