Reference: CVPS/2017/058 14 February 2017 Dear Parent/Guardian, 2017 Primary 5 Assessment Scope We are writing to inform you of the dates for Continual Assessment (CA) and Semestral Assessment (SA). The topics that would be covered and the assessment format are also included as attachment to this letter. Please note the following:

1. A students overall performance for the year is based on his/her performance in the first and second semesters. The respective weighting for each subject is 40% for SA1 and 60% for SA2.

2. All absences during the assessment period must be supported by medical certificates.

3. Students who are absent without a medical certificate during the examination period would not be awarded any marks for the paper that is missed.

4. There would be no make-up session for listening comprehension and written papers.

5. The assessment dates are subjected to change. Please refer to the school website for the latest update.
