Rugged Durability. Maximum Payloads. Outstanding Operator Produc-tivity and Comfort. Peterbilt broke new ground with the introduction of the Model 567 – its fl agship vocational truck and tractor. This workhorse is a proven performer across a wide range of heavy- and severe-duty applications in the harshest of environments. Available with up to 600 horsepower and numerous heavy-duty components – as well as single, tandem or tridem drive axles and a variety of lift axles – the Model 567 can meet nearly every jobsite requirement. Versatility is taken to even greater heights with two front-axle confi gurations, a Set-Back Front Axle (SBFA) for maximum maneuverability and weight transfer to the steer axle and a Set-Forward Front Axle (SFFA) to help businesses meet federal and local bridge laws. The Model 567 outperforms every challenge that comes its way – and every competitor.

At the core of the Model 567 is a lightweight, durable aluminum cab thoroughly tested at the PACCAR Technical Center to simulate millions of miles and thousands of jobsites traveled. The cab meets SAE roof crush for rollover standards and is severe-service ready right off the line. The solid construction is complemented by the strong Metton® hood that can withstand impacts that would shatter or crack fi ber-glass. Cab confi gurations are as versatile as thechassis itself. The Model 567 is available in 115” or 121” BBC confi gurations. It can be spec’d as a day cab or with a 44”, 58”, 72” or 80” sleeper.

Operators benefi t from a panoramic view from the driver’s seat for optimum productivity and enhanced safety.

At more than 2,100 square inches, the Model 567’s windshield achieves maximum visibility with a one-piece design and A-pillars that are 13% narrower than previous designs.

A lower dash brow and sloped hood result in improved line-of-sight.

Side windows and large exterior mirrors complement overallvisibility to help make jobsites and highway travel safer.

The windshield is bonded in place for a watertight, durable seal. Should the windshield need to be replaced, two locators found in the cowl and encapsulation seal allow for quick and easy replacement in the fi eld or in the shop. Windshield Total Glass

Rugged aluminum doors are easy to close and create a tight seal to virtually eliminate noise and air from entering the cab. Door construction features a double wall, stamped design that reduces weight without sacrifi cing durability.

Doors feature a triple-sealing system that outperforms competitive single and double sealdesigns for a more secure, longer-lasting closure.

A concealed hinge system is specially designed to withstand jobsite rigors and harsh duty cycles.

The Model 567 has one of the widest door openings in the industry for improved safety when entering and exiting the vehicle.

Staircase-style steps and easy-to-reach grab handles –mounted on the A-pillar and B-pillar – combine to facilitate easeof entry and egress to improve safety and reduce fatigue. Competitivedesigns use narrow ladder-style steps and a single grab handle thatmakes entry and exit more diffi cult and often forces the driver to pullup on the steering wheel or door pocket.

The Model 567’s ergonomic operating environment puts all commonly used controls within convenient reach and all displays are easy to see. LED lighting is used throughout and switches are backlit for enhanced nighttime visibility.

Electric-over-air controls bring unprecedented levels of reliability, durability and versatility to the Model 567 when powering auxiliary components and work bodies. It eliminates dash air toggle switches so air stays in the system and there are no unexpected surprises when going to tilt a dump body or power a PTO. Electric-over-air also allows the use of interlocks for enhanced safety and operation, such as requiring the parking brake be activated before the PTO can be operated.

Durable, easy-to-clean materials are used throughout the cab. Molded-in-color technology is used to manufacture the dash shell, steering column shroud and kick panels to minimize scratchingand marring. Upholstery is also made from stain-resistant fi bers.

The Driver Information Center gives operators at-a-glance access tovital performance data and operating information. The display includesthe Driver Performance Assistant, which coaches operators to maximizefuel economy and reduce component wear.

The exclusive in-dash SmartNav® system gives operators access tonavigation, music and phone through a 7-inch, interactive color display. SmartNav is integrated with the cab / sleeper audio system and isBluetooth compatible for hands-free operation.

Peterbilt’s Driver Performance Assistant coaching technology improves driver habits and ultimately fuel economy as much as 5%, saving

customers up to $2,500 annually per truck.

The Model 567’s optimized chassis design provides best-in-class maneuverability, ride quality and ser-viceability. The angled steering gear of the set-back axle confi guration provides enhanced turning angles in both directions with up to nine feet in right hand turning radius improvement versus non-angled gear designs. The ride and handling is superior to previous models with wider cab supports and greater frame rigidity for a quieter, smoother ride. Featuring the most advanced design in Peterbilt’s history, the Model 567 maximizes reliability and ease of ser-viceability with strategic system routings including dedicated routing troughs, air-over-electric technol-ogy and programmable interlocks.

The Model 567 chassis is strong and durable, exceeding all on-highway and vocational durability tests. Cab supports are positioned wider on the frame for excellent ride quality and maneuverability. The one-piecealuminum cross-members are light but strong, providing for a stiffer frame section which reduces noise and improves ride comfort.

The 567 can be confi gured with either a 115” BBC or 121” BBC.

The 567 offers the superior maneuverability with a Set-Forward or Set-Back Steer Axle for class-leading turn angles.

Safety leadership is extended through standard front disc brakes and electronic stability control. Optional rear disc brakes and collisionavoidance technology further improve safety performance.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

SmartLINQ monitors each vehicle’s performance to detect when a diagnostic code is activated.

The on-board telematics communicates the code information, including all event data, to SmartLINQ’s back-offi ce services powered by PACCAR Solutions.

The diagnostic codes are instantly analyzed and communicated to the fl eet manager, as well asdisplayed in detail on the PACCAR Solutions’ Web Portal. Code severity, possible solutions and the nearest Peterbilt dealership recommendations are also provided.

Once the information is reviewed, an action plan can be developed between the fl eet manager and the

preferred dealer helping keep the truck in operation until service can be conveniently scheduled.

SmartLINQ’s web portal provides a geographical view of a fl eet’s vehicles, color coded by severity. Data can be sorted by diagnostic code, codeseverity and its geographical location to easily see the vehicle’s performance information.

By selecting a Vehicle Identifi cation Number, key information is displayed such as diagnostics data, troubleshooting guidance and recommendedactions, as well as the nearest Peterbilt dealership for quick and convenient service.

Peterbilt’s SmartLINQTM complements fl eet management operations by providing real-time notifi cations should a vehicle’s

onboard diagnostics system generate a service event. This easy-to-use, web-based system helps you prioritize which

trucks should be serviced at the next convenient opportunity or which may need immediate attention. SmartLINQ

provides four levels of notifi cation – Stop Now, Service Now, Service Soon and Informational – as well as the codes

generated from any vehicle requiring service. SmartLINQ allows the fl eet to proactively schedule a service appointment

with a Peterbilt dealer to ensure the needed resources are available when the vehicle arrives, getting your truck back on

the road as quickly as possible. With SmartLINQ, Peterbilt helps you eliminate unscheduled downtime, maintain on-time

freight delivery and maximize profi tability.
