Carried out Ex inspections, breakdowns and repairs around the platform from the drilling derrick to under the cellar deck. Use of the Arnlea hand held paperless system for carrying out inspections to aid asset management efficiency. Carried out repairs on escape lighting, instrumentation, fire and gas systems. Utilised rope access techniques to gain safe access to obscure areas. Electrical Control Technician - Lafarge Tarmac - Tunstead Quarry & Cement Plant - 2006-2014 Part of a team that was responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all electrical and instrumentation systems across the Lime section ensuring reliable, high quality lime production. Eight years experience with electrical control and power systems comprising of DCS, SCADA, safety relays and controllers, VSD’s, DOL drives, Vapourmatic and Liquid starters and HV switching. In conjunction with above, eights years instrumentation experience comprising of various gas analysers, weight sensing equipment including load cells and strain gauges, flow meters, digital and analogue level, temperature and pressure devices, emission monitors and various limit indicators all of which the main manufactures are Endress & Hauser, Siemens, Vega, Hartmann & Braun, Pepperl & Fuchs and ABB.
