DST – D for Design, S for Surface, T for core Technology. Unique in the world of wood based

panels, the DST System, already proven at Thermopal, is now available for all product lines:

It allows Pfleiderer products – decors, surfaces and core materials – to be combined exactly to

meet your wishes and needs*. In addition, 180 decors with 10 surfaces and 16 core materials

are available as a DST matching collection, while our Express collection offers 92 decors in over

800 article variants – all available at short notice. With numerous materials and innumerable

combination possibilities, the Pfleiderer product range offers you a practically unlimited

freedom of design for interior fitting.

Pleasant to the touch: Balanced in the spectrum from smooth through velvety soft to slightly raised, the structures from this category are suitable for innumer-able different applications.

Surface recommendations

Scratch resistance The coarser the texture and the lighter the decor, the more the scratch resistance increases. As smooth surfaces (scratch resistance approx. 1.0 N) and graphic structures are very susceptible to scratching, we recommend our pearl and parchment structures here.

Stain sensitive The smoother the texture and the darker the decor, the higher the stain sensitivity. As smooth surfaces are generally more sensitive to staining than all other structures, we recommend our pearl and parchment structures here.

Ease of cleaning The more closed or glossy the texture and the lighter the decor, the easier the surface is to clean. With graphic structures oriented strongly in one direction, removing soiling is more difficult than on non-directional surfaces.

Abrasion resistance The abrasion resistance depends on the properties of the paper in the decor used. Plain colours achieve the best values, as the papers are through-dyed (see also technical data). Printed decors (wood, stone and creative decors) achieve lower values, as only the imprint can be used for the wear resistance. The surface texture used does not play any role in the abrasion resistance. The abrasion resistance of HPL improves considerably, if a high-pressure laminate is used in combination with an overlay, as recommended by us, for example, for worktops. If an overlay is used, slight colour differences are possible compared to HPL without overlay or to direct facing.

Surface flatness Where very high demands are made on surface flatness, we recommend the use of StyleBoard MDF / HDF or compact laminate as core material. All other core materials have a limited surface flatness due to the material properties.

Surface gloss Apart from the surfaces High Gloss, Hammered Effect and Illusion, the degree of reflection for all surfaces lies below the valued permitted by the office furniture standard DIN 4554 of 0.45.

Areas of application: Thanks to the bonding with melamine-reinforced urea resin, this panel type is resistant to high humidity and exposure to higher humidity exposure for limited periods. This quality is suitable for lamination with films, veneers, melamine resin impregnated decorative paper and Duropal high-pressure laminates (HPL) and has a wide variety of applications, such as roofing, roof panelling or steps. ClassicBoard P3 is also available in low-emission E1 plus quality. On request can also be FSC® or PEFC certified.

Flame resistant particleboard, suitable for non load-bearing purposes in dry areas, for interior fitting and for furniture subject to higher demands on fire protection. (Construction materials class DIN 4102-B1).

Areas of application: This panel type combines all the advantages of the particleboard (high strength, above-average durability, easy to process, wide range of decorative lamination possibilities) with additional safety in the event of a fire. Through the addition of flame retardants, the burning rate of the raw particleboards is reduced, thus significantly increasing the fire resistance and delaying the “flAsh-over point”. The primary areas of application are interior fitting of rooms with high fire risk (laboratories, fuel station sales offices, TV studios). On request can also be FSC® or PEFC certified.
