COMPLIANCE OF CONDITIONS AS STIPULATED BY MoEF VIDE LETTER NO. J -11015 / 8 / 2000 - I A. II (M) DATED 14.2.2001 FOR ADDITIONAL LIMESTONE

DEPOSIT OVER 66.434 HECT. AREA IN VILLAGE MANAKAHARI, TEHSIL RAMPURBAGHELAN, DIST. SATNA (M.P.)

The environmental clearance would beapplicable 66.434 hect. lease area

A. Specific Conditions :

(i) Mining should be carried out 500 m awayfrom the Rewa – Satna railway track.

We are not carried out any miningactivities within 500 m from the Rewa-Satna railway track.

(ii) The topsoil should be stacked properly withadequate measures at earmarked site. Itshould be used for reclamation andrehabilitation of mined out area.

Topsoil is being used for reclamationand rehabilitation of the mined outarea. No outside stacking is beingdone.

(iii) OB dumps should be stacked at earmarkeddump site(s) only on temporary basis.Concurrent back – filling and reclamationshould be carried out from the 3rd year ofoperations.

Reclamation of the mined out areahas been started from 3rd year ofoperations as stipulated in thecondition. 12.33 Ha. of mined out areahas been reclaimed up to March-2019.

No waste rock generated from April-19to Sep-19 to be used in backfilling ofthe mined out area.

(iv) A green belt of adequate width by plantingthe native plant species all around the MLarea, roads, OB dump sites etc. should beraised in consultation with local DFO /Agriculture Department.

Green belt of adequate width is beingdeveloped. Year wise details of theplantation carried out so far are givenin Annexure I.

A rose garden has been developed inthe colony.

A nursery has also been developedwhere various types of saplings areprepared for plantation.

Saplings planted April 2019 to Sep2019 were 1000 and cumulativeplantation till Sep 2019 is 23556.

(v) Drill should be operated with dust extractorsor only wet drilling should be adopted.

Drill machine IBH 10 of Atlas Copco isin operation. This machine is fittedwith water sprinkler that settles thedust generated at the time of drillingand thus prevents it from going intothe atmosphere.

(vi) Controlled blasting should be carried out. Controlled blasting is being practiced.

(vii) Check dam and siltation ponds of Garland drain and siltation pond have

appropriate size should be constructed toarrest silt and sediments flow from OB andmineral dumps. The water so collectedshould be utilized for watering mine area,roads, greenbelt, etc. The drains should beregularly desilted and maintained properly.

(viii) Regular monitoring of ground water leveland quality should be carried out byestablishing a network of existing wells andconstructing new piezometers. Monitoringshould be done four times a year– pre-monsoon April / May, Monsoon (August),Post–monsoon (November) and winter(January). Data thus collected should besent at regular intervals to MoEF.

(ix) Crusher should be installed and operatedwith adequate capacity de-dustingarrangement

Crusher has already been installedwith adequate capacity of de-dustingarrangement like bag - filters.Continuous water sprinklingarrangement at crusher hopper hasalso been made for suppressing thedust generated during unloading ofthe mineral in crusher hopper.

(x) A detailed mine decommissioning planshould be submitted to MoEF 5 year inadvance for approval.

Will be submitted.

B. GENERAL CONDITIONS

(i ) No change on mining technology and scopeof working should be made without priorapproval of the Ministry of Environment andForests.

No change have been made.

(ii) No change in the calendar plan includingexcavation, quantum of limestone, waste /OB dumps should be made.

There is No change in excavation,quantum of Limestone ,waste/OBdumps .Mining Activity is carry on asper Approved Mining Plan.

(iii) Four ambient air quality monitoring stationsshould be established in the core zone aswell as buffer zone for SPM, RPM, SO2, NOX

and CO monitoring. Location of the ambientair quality stations should be decided basedon the meteorological data, topographicalfeatures and environmentally sensitivetargets in consultation with the StatePollution Control Board.

Four different monitoring stations areestablished at core and buffer zoneand air quality is monitored twice in amonth.

(iv) Data of ambient air quality should beregularly submitted to the Ministry includingits Regional Office at Bhopal and the State

(v) Adequate measures for control of fugitiveemissions should be taken during drillingand blasting operations, loading andtransportation of minerals etc.

Adequate measures for control offugitive emission are being takenduring drilling and blasting operations,loading and transportation of mineraletc.

Drill machine is operated with in-built dust extractor, which arreststhe dust generated during thedrilling operation.

Water sprinkling is done on theblasted muck after blasting toreduce the dust generation duringthe loading operation.

Water spraying is continuously doneon haul roads.

(vi) Adequate measures should be taken forcontrol of noise levels below 85 dB in thework environment.

(vii) Personnel working in dusty areas shouldwear protective respiratory devices and theyshould also be provided with adequatetraining and information on safety and healthaspects.

Occupational health surveillance programmeof the workers should be undertakenperiodically to observe any contractions dueto exposures to dust and take correctivemeasures, if needed.

Personal protective equipments arebeing provided to all personnelworking in dusty area at regularintervals.

Time to time, training and informationon health and safety aspects arebeing imparted by the HRD Deptt. aswell as at vocational training centre ofthe Deptt.

All employees undergo periodicalmedical examination under Mines Actat regular intervals.

(viii) The funds earmarked for environmentalprotection measures should be kept inseparate account and not diverted for otherpurpose. Year wise expenditure should bereported to the Ministry of Environment &Forests.

(ix) The Regional Office of this Ministry locatedat Bhopal shall monitor compliance of the

(xiii) The Project authority should advertise atleast in two local newspapers widelycirculated around the project, one of whichshall be in the vernacular language of thelocality concerned informing that the projecthas been accorded environmental clearanceand the copy of the clearance letter isavailable with the state Pollution ControlBoard and may also be seen at the web siteof the Ministry of Environment and Forestsat http://envfor.nic.in.

The advertisement was published intwo of the local newspapers viz.‘Dainik Bhaskar’ and ‘Naw Swadesh’which was earlier informed vide ourletter no. MIN / 104 / 5820A dated27.3.02.
