SMART TOOTH™ SprocketsTsubaki’s SMART TOOTH sprockets with patented Wear Indicator technology offer users the ability to identify and schedule drive system maintenance before critical component failure occurs. The result is extended chain life and reduced downtime for increased productivity. Tsubaki’s long history of designing innovative chain and sprocket product assures you will receive the best system solution.
One-Touch Inspection DoorsSave time and money with Tsubaki’s One-Touch Inspection Doors. Tsubaki’s patented prefabricated units are, economical, in stock and easy to install. - Available in carbon or stainless steel - Dust and rain tight- Polyethylene, Epichlorhydrin and Silicon gaskets available- Lockable
POWER-LOCK®
U.S. Tsubaki’s extensive POWER-LOCK® portfolio offers a simple and cost effective solution for locking sprockets, gears, pulleys, timing cams, and rollers. Utilizing POWER-LOCK® technology eliminates backlash damage to keyways and costly machining associated with splines, steps, snap ring grooves, and threading on drive shafts. These easily installed units slide into position and offer a keyless locking solution that will simultaneously handle high-torque and thrust loads while increasing shaft strength.
Cam ClutchTsubaki’s complete and versitile offering of one-way cam clutch products sets the standard for the industry. Whether your application calls for indexing, general over-running, or backstopping type units, Tsubaki has you covered. Incorporating Tsubaki cam clutch products offers a simple and cost effective means to drive and protect capital equipment that is critical to your operation. These innovative products can be used in conveyor, hoist, bucket elevator, pumping systems, and dual drive systems to improve efficiency and protect your operation.
Power CylinderTsubaki’s broad range of electromechanical Power Cylinder products offers high thrust capability in a compact package. Nominal stroke lengths from 200 to 2000mm, coupled with rated thrust capability to 70,000 lbs. of force make this an ideal actuator for demanding applications. The Power Cylinder needs very little maintenance over its service life, and can be easily applied to replace pnuematic or hydraulic cylinders that require extensive plumbing, tubing, and compressors or hydraulic power units.

U.S. Tsubaki’s Patented Sealed Joint Chain1. Extended Bushing Barrier Seal:The chain bushings are extended beyond the inside sidebars to minimize the clearance between the outside bars and the bushings. This in turn creates a solid barrier that inhibits abrasive material from entering the pin/bushing joint.
2. Polymer Wide Face Seal:Constructed of a high temperature engineered polymer, this seal encircles the extended bushing and provides an additional particulate resistant barrier to help protect the joint and minimize contamination.
3. Stainless Steel Internal Ring Seal:This patented seal holds tight onto the pin and rotates within a groove in the bushing, creating a labyrinth to help prevent debris from getting into the pin/bushing area.
Maximum Strength. Maximum Wear. Maximum Protection.Tsubaki’s 4000 Series bucket elevator chains are specifically designed for severe applications and environments with fine particulate. Utilizing alloy steel, proprietary heat treatments and state of the art manufacturing techniques, Tsubaki’s 4000 Series provides amongst the highest ultimate and fatigue strengths available in the market today.
Depending on the specific application, Tsubaki can offer several upgrades such as plated pins/bushings and several types of joint seals. In most cases, these features can be incorporated individually or in combination.
Matching sprockets, designed specifically for use with Tsubaki 4000 Series chain, are available in both carbon and alloy steel, with flame or through hardened heat treatment. All mating sprockets are furnished with a minimum tooth hardness of 50R (Rockwell C).
Maximum StrengthTsubaki’s 4000 Series Chains are produced with specially selected alloy steel and possess ultimate strength ratings up to 45% higher than the competition. A proprietary piercing technique developed by Tsubaki makes exceptionally smooth pitch holes for higher interference fits. This piercing method, combined with other unique manufacturing processes, allows for maximum fatigue strength and solid protection against failure, even when challenged by the most severe applications.
Maximum WearThe combination of induction hardened pins and carburized bushings allow Tsubaki’s 4000 Series Chain to provide unparalleled wear. After years of testing, Tsubaki developed a specific high-hardness specification to resist the abrasive forces caused by aggressive fine particulates. Utilizing these parameters, the depth of hardness is carefully inspected to ensure that the chain provides the maximum wear and toughness necessary to survive and endure the rigors of a bucket elevator application.
Maximum ProtectionMost chain wear and elongation is the result of abrasion wear on the pins. Tsubaki’s unique seal options help keep abrasive debris from entering the critical pin/bushing area, ultimately extending the life of the chain. Depending on the type of chain and the specific application, Tsubaki can offer several types of seals. In most cases, these seals can be incorporated individually or in combination. Please contact Tsubaki Engineering for assistance in selecting the seal design that is right for you.
