    CPUCPU is the brain of the whole PC. This is the section inside of your PC thatdoes all the thinking, using complex mathematical sums.

    This is the most important part of your computer set-up, and performs themajority of the complex tasks that you tell your computer to do.

    Mother Board

    Mother board is the main circuit board of your computer. If the CPU is thebrains, then this is the heart.

    This is where you will usually find your CPU and RAM clipped to, and the

    type of CPU and RAM you can buy largely depends on the type ofmotherboard you have.

    The motherboard can also be a deciding factor when buying a new graphicscard too.

    HDD/SATA (Hard Disk)

    The Hard Disk is the long term memory. Measured in Gigabytes (GB), thehigher the GB the larger the available memory.

    With most computers, the hard disk is easily changed, but requires you toopen up your computer and can be quite daunting to the novice.

    WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) card

    A WLAN (wireless local area network) links the computer or laptop and themodem wirelessly using OFDM radio that were usually used in WLANthese days. This gives users the mobility to move around within a localcoverage area and still be connected to the network.

    WLAN have become popular in the home due to ease of installation, andthe increasing to offer wireless access to their customers often for free.

    Microprocessor

    A microprocessor incorporates the functions of a computer's centralprocessing unit (CPU) on a single integrated circuit (IC).

    It is a multipurpose, programmable, clock-driven, register-based electronic

    device that accepts binary data as input, processes it according toinstructions stored in its memory, and provides results as output.

    Cooler

    Computer cooling is required to remove the waste heat produced bycomputer components, to keep components within their safe operatingtemperature limits. There are three types of cooler that is CPU Air Cooler,Chipset Cooler, OEM Cooler. Various cooling methods help to improveprocessor performance or reduce the noise of cooling fans.

    Components which produce heat and are susceptible to performance lossand damage include integrated circuits such as CPUs, chipset and graphicscards, along with hard drives (though excessive cooling of hard drives hasbeen found to have negative effects[citation needed]). Overheated parts failearly and may give sporadic problems resulting in system freezes orcrashes.

    Graphic Card

    The graphic card is an expansion card whose function is to generate outputimages to a display. Most video cards offer added functions, such asaccelerated rendering of 3D scenes and 2D graphics, video capture, TV-

    tuner adapter, MPEG-2/MPEG-4 decoding, FireWire, light pen, TV output,or the ability to connect multiple monitors (multi-monitor). Other modernhigh performance video cards are used for more graphically demandingpurposes, such as PC games.

    Sound Card

    A sound card (also known as an audio card) is an internal computerexpansion card that facilitates the input and output of audio signals toand from a computer under control of computer programs.

    The term sound card is also applied to external audio interfaces that usesoftware to generate sound, as opposed to using hardware inside thePC. Typical uses of sound cards include providing the audiocomponent for multimedia applications such as music composition,editing video or audio, presentation, education and entertainment(games) and video projection. Many computers have sound capabilitiesbuilt in, while others require additional expansion cards to provide foraudio capability.
