WHAT IS THE COMPOST?

Compost is a good fertilizer. Humus is better fertilizer than compost, both of them are organic.

WHAT FOR IS IT USED ?

Compost is used in agriculture and gardening as fertilizing for the ground, it is also used in landscape desing, control of the erosion, covers and recuperation of grounds.

TECHNIQUES COMPOST•Hot: the temperature is controlled to allow the development of more active bacteria . They kill the majority of pathogens and germs, in this way compost is produced faster.•Cold: there isn’t control of temperature, the process takes place at a natural room temperature.

WHAT CONSEQUENCES HAS COMPOST?

1. It increases the capacity of ground to preserve the water.

2. It increases the ventilation of ground.3. It goes down the erosion caused by the heavy

rains and the wind.4. It expands the growth of the plants.5. It increases the quantity of earthworms and

beneficial insects on the grounds.

HOW TO DO A COMPOST?

You can catch waste vegetables from the garden and from home.The most elementary technique is to do a heap in a corner from your garden or to use a drawer and to put those waste into it.

Red earthworms’ excrements produce another type of compost . These organisms feed on organic waste.
