My Story. My Book. My Business. Both workshops explore the process of writing a book, getting it edited, illustrated, and published with students of all ages. I teach them how to leverage the power of literacy to tell their story and show them the skills needed to develop and achieve their goals.

I have designed an evidence-based curriculum for all students. It strengthens literacy, comprehension, and gives students an understanding of authorpreneurship.

My purpose is to ensure students experience a thought-provoking, enriching, and informative program tailored for all grade levels and academic enrichment interests.

• Authorpreneur Exploration Program Younger students participate in an exercise which includes: Readings from my books, exploring reading comprehension, making inferences and predictions about the stories. Curricula include conversations to build confidence and understanding of family and community. We interpret the text and relate to the themes and character experiences.

• Authorpreneur Development

Pre- and post-program assessments are utilized to evaluate student progress. Class size: 5-25 students, ideal age: 12-19.

"… the voluntary writing practices of adolescents, in addition to offering a platform for fostering community, making meaning, telling stories, and social activism, have also served the purposes of identity construction and representation." (Kinney 2012).
