Superior technology, perfect serviceFor decades, Dürr Dental has been setting standards for compressed air and suction systems.

As a leading manufacturer, we provide solutions not only for large practices, but also for dental

practices and universities with several hundred treatment-, simulation- and phantom workstations.

Dürr Dental is the inventor

of the modern dental spray

suction system. Advantage –

experience and competence

that pays off.

Control systems with high

safety margins increase avai-

lability. A visual display for

monitoring in the installations

Selection of compressed air

systems

Individual project planning

Clinics need a consistent supply of compressed air and suction.

High performance with reliable reserves are needed here. In

order to tailor the solution precisely to operator needs, each

system must be individually planned. our service covers every-

thing from the consultation and planning of on-site installa tion

and start-up of the compressed air and suction unit, to post-

sales training and maintenance.

02

Comprehensive and custom-tailored service

our experienced project managers can also take on the

development of the entire project. The perfect integration of

individual compressed air and suction systems in the clinic

depends on several factors. We therefore provide a unique

service for suction and compressed air systems. We will re-

spond to all queries concerning the technical integration of

Dürr Dental devices at nearly all treatment units and leading

manufacturers‘ training facilities.

Introduction | 03

That‘s efficiency – compressed air and suction systems from one source

Compressed air and suction by Dürr Dental

Along with a high-performance suction unit to which a central

or integrated separation system can be connected upstream,

Dürr Dental also provides central compresssed air units with

refrigerant-type dryer and cyclone separator for up to 80 work -

stations per station (e.g. P 12000). The operator reaps several

cost advantages and synergy effects resulting from the com-

bined set-up of the coordinated compressed air and suction

systems.

Extremely compact

The frame for compressed air and suction units covers the same

surface. They require very little space. The V 6000 to V 18000

and P 6000 to P 12000 are set up on the same lines. Advan-

tage – A number of aggregates tailored to each project for

compressed air and vacuum systems, and thus also suited to

the precisely calculated number of treatment chairs /phantom

workstations.

Easy operation through PLC

Compressed air and suction units are controlled by a PLC

(Progammable Logic Controller). It facilitates operation and

smooth and easy control. The modern control board also

directly manages operational safety; e.g. through additional

automatic cooling and automatic alternation of load of the

aggregate in order to adapt to the life-span of the aggregates.

Compressors and the exhaust air of the suction unit use the same bacteria filter for suctioning

The same bacterial filter model is used as an exhaust air germ

filter in the suction system, and as a suction bacteria filter for

compressed air functions, thereby simplifying the replacement

of parts. The filter provides hygienic air and high holding time.

A changing of the filter is not due, at the earliest, until after

approx. 3500 hours for the suction system and after approx.

8000 hours for the compressor. The display gives a reminder

when it needs to be changed.

Central remote monitoring

Remote monitoring (monitoring unit) of compressed air and

the vacuum unit with a CA 4 amalgam separator and CDS

60 stations can be performed with the same monitoring

system. This facilitates the checking of all aggregates: the

query of fault indications, operating hours, filter changes,

operation, etc. The connection to the existing, central control

station can be realised with potential-free contacts.

Dental air quality – without additional filters and adsorption dryer

Dürr Dental is the leading supplier of central compressed

air systems in the dental/medical field. Dry-run and oil-free

plungers compress high-quality dental air (according to HTm

2022). This means there is no oil for lubrication and no water

for cooling. Additional filters behind the tank, such as for oil-

lubricated screw compressors, are not needed. So oil and

filter changes are unnecessary, significantly reducing service

costs.

medical compressed air

Dürr Dental also provides systems for producing medical

compressed air according to DIn En ISo 7396-1, with the

appropriate components and 3-point redundancy. For medi-

cal applications, existing Dürr Dental compressed air systems

can be retrofitted with an adsorption dryer and the appro-

priate filters, in order to meet the atmospheric dew point

of -46 °C stipulated by DIn En ISo 7396-1 and HTm 2022.

Antibacterial inner tank

coating provides a high

degree of safety and pro-

tect against corrosion and

the formation of bacteria

Top-notch quality and perfectly controlled

PLC with service advantage

The intelligent PLC with integrated service-check program

allows the service technician to check the entire suction and

compressed air system, e.g. before start-up or for maintenance.

The provided controller is quickly and easily installed and

gives a high degree of safety: heat protection through auto-

matic room-temperature monitoring, fault monitoring of com-

pressors, refrigerant-type dryers, cyclone separator, pressure

sensors, etc.

Constant availability of service and economic efficiency

Dürr Dental compressed air systems provide impressive

operational safety. The refrigerant-type dryer does not

require a regeneration phase, so the full delivery rate is

always available. Since the aggregates are only connected

by the intelligent controller when needed, reduced electricity

use is ensured. An even use of the aggregates increases its

total life cycle.

This is what counts:

▪ Top-notch compressed air quality: oil-free, dry, hygienic

(according to HTm 2022/DIn En ISo 7396-1)

▪ Automatic closing and cut-off of compressors

according to compressed air needs

▪ If a compressor fails, the next one automatically

takes over for it

▪ Automatic start-up of the compressor with the lowest

operating time to compressor base-load distribution

▪ only one central suction bacteria filter for an entire

station (e.g. P 12000)

Flexible solutions as per your needs

Dürr Dental provides clinics and universities with vacuum

systems for dry and semi-dry suction systems. The flexible

solutions are available in 6 versions and suitable for up to

100 treatment units. The integrated exhaust air bacteria fil-

ter does not need to be changed until after 3500 hours. The

high-performing channel compressors are precisely calibrated

to requirements by the intelligent PLC.

High reliability, low power consumption

A sensor switches the suction motors on and off according

to need. This ensures that electrical energy is used economi-

cally. The Progammable Logic Controller regulates the even

use of the V-unit, thereby increasing overall life-span and

reliability. An electrical and mechanical auxiliary air valve

provides additional cooling for the motors and consistent

suction power.

fection feature. Switches off prior to overfilling in

order to prevent damage to the suction motors

disinfection of the entire suction unit

toring all functions from a central control station;

Which suction motor is running? What is the current vacuum?

Change the bacteria filter? The service technician can find

the answers to these questions on the display in the intelligent

Progammable Logic Controller. The entire suction or com -

pressed air system can be checked at any time, and any faults

can quickly be troubleshot. With Dürr Dental‘s visual-display

system, all clinical facilities can also be remotely monitored.
