    Programme InformationMost of the programmes in this prospectus lead to DamelinCorrespondence College Certificates or Diplomas. Exceptionsto this rule are the programmes that are externally examined,each of which is referred to as a certification.

    Admission Requirements

    It is essential that a students choice of learning programmeis based on their current level of education and experience.It would be detrimental to study success if a studentregistered for a programme for which they didnt have thenecessary educational background. We urge students to takea conservative, realistic approach and, in so doing, to build asolid foundation for further study.

    Examination InformationWhen students register as Damelin Correspondence Collegestudents, they receive an Examination Guide for their Damelininternal examinations. This guide, which is updated everyyear, contains all information regarding assignment deadlines,examination registration deadlines, and examination dates.Please note that it is the students responsibility to request anupdated Examination Guide at the start of each year.

    If students are registered for a Damelin Certificate orDiploma, they must register for examinations with the Collegeas soon as they have passed all their assignments. To registerfor exams, students should simply complete an examinationentry form and submit it to the College, together with theprescribed examination fee, before the closing date for thenext examination.

    External examinations are independently examined andcertified at Prometric Testing Centres or ICDL Foundation-Accredited Testing Centres. Therefore, students must booktheir external exams directly with the relevant testing centre,and pay exam fees to that testing centre. (External exam feesare not included in the programme fee.) In some instances,students may buy exam vouchers from the College.

    Computer HardwareRequirements

    You can complete almost all practice exercises using virtualmachines rather than real server hardware. The followinghardware is required to complete the lab exercises:
