CONCEPT.

Dear musical genius,

For ten years now Foundation Chrisjteijn in Eijsden (not far from Maastricht) has successfully organized concerts in Saint Christina’s Church on Sunday afternoons. Several times students of Maastricht Conservatory have performed here. 29 May last we had a culminating point with the performance of Mozart’s Schuldigkeit des ersten Gebots, in which some 15 students of the conservatory played with great success and lots of musical enjoyment.Now our foundation is organizing another extensive performance: Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem and John Rutter’s Requiem. Therefore we need musicians for the following parts: three violins, four altos, three cellos, a double-bass and a harp. If there are players of wind instruments who would also like to take part, we need one flute, one hobo, one clarinet, one bassoon, two horns and 1 trumpet.Prior to the concert on 20 March 2016 there are two rehearsals, one of which in Maastricht Conservatory and one on location. On Sunday 20 March there is one passage rehearsal and the concert itself.We will take care of travelling and other expenses and an attractive present to round up the concert.The performance will be led by Alice Hendriks.We sincerely hope you will be attracted into participating and look forward to hearing from you soonest.
