Camera A shot of a close-up of a tape player being pushed on the button ‘play’ starts of the music on the video. This shot establishes that it is a music video.

A lot of different angles and shots are used throughout. This is to make it interesting as the video is kept in one location and is just one dance.

A lot of low angle close-ups are used throughout. This is because it makes the people look bigger and better and it also makes them look important.

Editing

The editing is straight cut. This links in with the beat of the music. And it makes the movements look sharper.

All of the cuts have been continuity edited so that it isn’t confusing.

Mise-en-scene The lighting is daylight, the studio is

white and so it seems bright anyway as white reflects light.

The make-up is colourful, and the people are attractive so that an audience is interested in the video.

The costume in this music video is very revealing. It will attract males more than females because females are only wearing costumes and most of them a thong. The males who are I this video have shorts and a t-shirt on so it isn’t as fun for a female to watch.

The only prop used is a tape player, in which enhances that it is a music video. This prop is used to start off the music which is appropriate.

The location is a gym, which is mirrored so that reflections are seen.

Sound

The leader of the fitness class speaks, but as viewers we don’t hear this diegetic sound, we only hear the non-diegetic sound added in post production.

The exercises is to the beat of the music so it all flows and gets the attention of the viewers which is aimed to happen.
