BIOGRAPHIES
Kate Donnelly is a sophomore music education major from the studio of Harold Reynolds. She is from Essex Junction, Vermont and a graduate of Essex High School. While in high school Kate won the Vermont Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition and the Vermont All-State Scholarship Competition. At Ithaca College Kate has performed with the Wind Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Jazz Lab, Brass Choir, and the Trombone Troupe. Upo graduation from Ithaca College, Kate plans to teach in the public schools an perform in a professional ensemble.
Baritone Matthew Hoch is a senior maJonng in music education and performance, and music theory. A native of Blandon, Pennsylvania, Matthew graduated from the Pennsylvania Govenor' s School for the Arts. He held the title role in the Ithaca College Opera Gianni Schicchi, and has twice won first place at the Central New York Finger Lakes National Association for the Teachers of Singers Competition. In 1997 Matt was named Outstanding Junior by the School of Music chapter of the Pi Kappa Lambda honor society. Matthew currently studies with Carol McAmis and plans to attend graduate school to study musicology and performance.
A native of Columbia, South America, Sandra Lascarro is a master's degree candidate majoring in violin performance from the studio of Ellen Jewett. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, Sandra is currently the concert master of the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra. She has also performed as the assistant concert master for two years( with the Cali Orchestra in Colombia, South America. Currently Sandra is a member of the Fredonia Chamber Players and the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra. Sandra aspires to perform professionally with a symphony or chamber orchestra.
William Murray is a senior enrolled in the Bachelor of Music with an Outside Field in Business degree program and is from the studio of Carol McAmis. From Auburn, New York, William has performed roles in The Bartered Bride, The Pirates of Penzance, and Gianni Schicchi. Other performing experiences includes Damn Yankees and Sing in' in the Rain. He has served as the Executive Manager for the Ithaca Children's Choir under the direction of Janet Galvan. Upon graduation from Ithaca College, William plans on attending law school to study corporate law.
Siew Lan Sung is a senior piano major from the studio of Read Gainsford. A native of Malaysia, Siew Lan is a graduate of the Penang Chinese Girls' High School and plans to return to Malaysia to teach after graduation from Ithaca College. She is the recipient of the Allen H. Treman Music Scholarship, the David Barnes Perry Memorial Scholarship, the David J. Laub Memorial Scholarship, and has been a Dean's List student for several semesters. She has been a pianist for the Women's Chorale, Wind Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, and Symphony Orchestra. Siew Lan also performed for the visiting evaluation team from the National Association of Schools of Music and toured England and Ireland with the Wind Ensemble in the Fall of 1997.
