The  Pinole  series  consists  of  very  deep,  well  drained  soils  that  formed  in  alluvium  derived  from  mixed  rock  sources.  

Cole  loam  This  very  deep,  somewhat  poorly  drained  soil  is  on river  terraces.  It  formed  in  alluvium  derived  frommixed rock  sources.

Redvine SeriesDeep,  well  drained  soils  formed  in  old  alluvial  material  weathered  from  sedimentary  rock.  Redvine soils  are  on  dissected  terraces  and  have  slopes  of  2  to  30  %.

Soil:  Alluvial.  The  terrain  was  formed  by  ancient  riverbeds.  Poor  in  nutrients,  loamy  sand  texture  with  gravels  appearing  at  depths  of  90  cm.
