A total of 15 bolts and nuts come with the kit to replace the rubber.

Replacement Bolts: 15 ea. 3/8” x 1 ¼” Socket-head cap bolts.

1. Remove discharge door assembly using 7/32 Allen wrench and 9/16 wrench.

2. Remove curved end straps and side angle rails using a ½” wrench.

Remove all bolts

3. Clean the trough rubber to steel mounting surfaces with a scraper.

Scrape along these edges

4. Position the rubber so the thick side of the rubber is installed toward the auger.

5. Lay the rubber under the mixing area of the MD.

6. Apply a bead of silicone caulk around the outside of the rubber.

Note which side of holes

7. Start with the end of one of the side rails. Bolts come from inside out. Repeat on the opposite side rail.

Sandwich the rubber between angle rails and the side of mixer

Wait to tighten bolts until all bolts are in side rails and end straps

8. Install both end straps and then tighten bolts on rails and straps.

Now tighten all bolts in side rails and the end straps

9. Apply a bead of silicone on the edge of the discharge opening assembly.

10. Attach the discharge assembly on the outside of the rubber using 15 - 3/8” x 1 ¼” socket-head cap bolts.

Draw the heads of the cap bolts down into the rubber until they are flush below the surface of the rubber.

3. Fill the void between the shaft and the hole with grease.

4. Replace the gum-rubber and install the bearing over the bolts.

7. Center the auger in the mixing area by sliding the shafts

in the bearings. Tighten the set screws on the bearings.

Same gap on both ends of auger

5. Secure the bearing with washers and nuts, then tighten the bolts

Don’t tighten set screws until step #7

6. Grease the new bearing.

Tighten bolts until the rubber begins to bulge-out slightly
