International Pipeline Conference 2014

From September 29 to October 3, 2014, pipeline professionals from around the world will meet in Calgary to discuss the current and future technical, developmental and business needs of their industry at the 10th anniversary of the International Pipeline Conference & Exposition 2014. The theme of the conference is “Challenging Pipeline Performance.”

Why Attend

This biennial conference is a unique opportunity for you to learn about the latest pipeline industry innovations, developments and solutions. Respected authors, experts and industry leaders will be discussing pipeline management, safety culture and standards with pipeline professionals from across the globe.

Over 1,200 attendees are anticipated to attend to collaborate and share knowledge, through a comprehensive conference program that includes technical paper presentations, tutorials, panel discussions and the best author competition. The high-quality of the technical papers, the professional organization and the tremendous support of the industry has made IPC the premier pipeline industry event in the world.

As a member of the media, you’ll have the opportunity to attend sessions and participate in a media-specific Q&A event with the conference co-chairs and other speakers. To arrange to be accredited to attend IPC, please see the last page of this brochure.

Highlights of the Conference

IPC 2014 will feature:• Leading pipeline industry keynote speakers• Representatives from over thirty countries will be presenting

over 300 papers in thirteen technical tracks• Nineteen experts in specific fields who will share their

knowledge in tutorials• Members of the international pipeline industry will present six

panels on current topics of interest• Networking Event “Flash from the Past” – an opportunity for

all delegates to socialize while enjoying looking back at the Pipeline Industry.

Students from around the world will participate in the Student Paper Competition. And just like in 2012, IPC is working with the Instituto Brasileiro de Petroleo de Gas (IBP) on an exchange of “best papers”. Recently the IBP presented the Calgary Pipeline Award at its eighth biennial Pipeline Seminar in Rio de Janeiro. The winner of this award will present their paper at IPC 2014. As part of this reciprocal agreement, the Calgary organizers will select a best paper from those presented during IPC 2014 and the winner will be given the Rio Pipeline Award and will present at IBP 2015.
