TRANSCRIPT
Europe is very close to reaching full integration of medical informatics in the healthcare and medical sectors. When
looking at East-Europe separately however, this integration process still needs important to - in certain cases - major
progress. Driven by goals set via European Commission projects the region`s national governments are all designing
and (re)implementing their e-health strategies. With the newest developments in Health ITC applications, and latest
trends in EHR, mhealth, PMR, Big Data… hitting the market, opportunities for e-health technology and service
providers are literally unprecedented.
Conference Venue Poland, where the Ministry of Health is providing impressive support and funding
to the e-health sector, will be host country of Noppen`s East-Europe e-Health
Innovation Summit. The 2-day event will provide a business focused platform
connecting representatives from local and regional authorities, regulatory bodies,
healthcare associations, medical companies, academies, consultancy and
funding groups, service providers and technology suppliers.

The International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth (ISfTeH) is the international federation of
national Telemedicine/eHealth associations, and currently covers a network of national associations,
research and healthcare organizations, companies and individuals in over 80 countries around the
world.
The ISfTeH exists to facilitate the international dissemination of knowledge and experience in
Telemedicine and eHealth, to provide access to recognised experts in the field worldwide, and to
enhance networking and collaboration opportunities among the international Telemedicine and
eHealth community.
The combined experience and actual Telemedicine/eHealth implementations represented by ISfTeH
members are a valuable source of best practices available to others who are looking to introduce
such new technologies and applications within their organization or healthcare system.
The Czech National eHealth Center (NTMC) was established as a
coordinating and educational center within the new rapidly developing
sector of medicine – eHealth, respectively telemedicine. Nowadays there
are a lot of activities in eHealth in Czech Republic, but most of them
deals only with partial tasks. The aim of NTMC is to unify these activities
under one organizational structure, to search and explore new trends
and practices in this field, to test and implement these innovations and
principles into practice and last but not least, to develop and use the
modern methods in undergraduate and postgraduate education.
Polskie Towarzystwo Telemedycyny (Polish Telemedicine Society, PTTM) was
established in 1997 in Warsaw, Poland. It focuses on research to stimulate the
development of telemedicine, eHealth and medical virtual reality, enhanced
reality, and other information technologies in healthcare in clinical practice and
science in Poland. It aims to support, enhance, develop and improve
telemedicine, eHealth, medical virtual reality and information technology in
healthcare and their applications. It cooperates with medical centres in the
country and abroad, develops opinions and reviews in the field, facilitates
research and networking with individuals and centres involved in telemedicine,
eHealth, medical virtual reality and information technology in healthcare.
