Who Am I?

Mitch Hansen, CPA, CMAMitch works primarily with not-for-profit, long-term care, and governmental organizations assisting with

audits, internal controls, best practices, and operational issues. His previous experience as an auditor

for the U. S. Department of Commerce and in the accounting department at Yellowstone National Park

has helped to create an exceptional and well-rounded knowledge base.

In his spare time, Mitch serves as the immediate past board chair for The Hearthstone, as chair-elect

for Make-A-Wish Foundation Alaska and Washington, as a board member and coach for Kent Valley

Hockey Association, and on the finance committee for Leading Age of Washington. He is also an active

member of the AICPA, WSCPA, Washington Society of Association Executives, Leading Age of

Washington, the Government Finance Officers Association, and two local MINI Cooper car clubs.

Mitch helped author Clark Nuber's Practical Guide to Form 990, which was published by CCH as a

reference tool for nonprofits and other CPA firms. He graduated from Utah State University with

degrees in accounting and finance, and minors in economics and geology.
