The following listing is to be used in conjunction with Fig. 5.

1. Distinguishes the fields between “New Defective” items and “O.E. Fitted” items. Note: Additional and detailed information is needed for “O.E. Fitted” warranty claims.

2. Your company name or contact, address, and contact number.

3. This is for your reference and convenience of tracking the warranty claim.

4. Select as appropriate, normally “O.E. Fitted” or “Service Supplied”.

5. Vehicle or Chassis Make and Model: e.g. Ford New Holland 455.

6. Engine Make and Model: e.g. Massey Ferguson 2865.

7. If the claim is “O.E. Fitted” the pump number will be listed here. If the claim is “Service Supplied” the defective part number will be listed here.

8. The pump serial number will be listed here on “O.E. Fitted” claims. The serial number is located on the pump tag. The number is 5 digits.

9. On “O.E. Fitted” claims the Date Code used will be located on the pump. It is the 3 letters located directly after the serial number (e.g. 12345AWG). “Service Supplied” claims will use the Date Code associated with the specific product being claimed on. The Date Code is most commonly found on injectors and nozzles. On other Delphi Product please see #14.

10. Select as appropriate.

11. The Commission Date is the date of when the part entered service. The Failure Date is the date of when the part failed.

12. The Fault Code is the main cause of failure. The first space is for the 2 letter characters of the failure description (e.g., ZS). The next space is for the 1 digit character for the failure condition (e.g. 3).

13. The Application Code is made up of the applicable engine code, followed by the applicable vehicle/chassis code (e.g. 1DZ1CZ). If the claim is “Service Supplied”, use the code 9ZZ9ZZ.

14. The Packing Code is located on the package of the Delphi product. It is listed by the week and year of production of the product (e.g. 36/01). If neither the Date Code nor the Packing Code can be located, please reference this in the comments section of the claim, put 3 zeroes in the Date Code section, and send the product(s) back to Delphi.

15. Select appropriate unit of time.

16. Enter numeric value of the service life of the product.

17. Enter the 2 letter character of the customer complaint (e.g. KE).

18. Enter the complaint of the customer.

19. Enter the fault found.

20. Enter the repairs performed and/or any additional comments.

21. Labor and Repair Time should not exceed the time specified for the particular fault. Warranty claims with excessive labor time claimed will not be considered unless adequate justification is included in the “additional comments” section.

22. All parts need to be sent back to Delphi unless otherwise noted, along with a copy of the claim or the claim number referenced on the package being returned.

23. List part description.

24. Enter correct Delphi part number, including dashes and back-slashes.

25. Enter quantity of part. Please note on “New Defective” warranty claims, only one part is allowed per claim unless the Part Number, Date Code, and Fault Code are all the same.

26. Click here to submit the claim to Delphi. If there are any mistakes, the system will notify you, and you will be able to go back and correct them.
