How do I know the IP address of the unit?

There are 2 ways to get the IP address of the unit.

1. You can press and hold the Help button on the main screen for 10 seconds. This will bring up the tech page that is shown here containing the IP address.

2. You can look at the front of the room if AirMedia® is available on your unit and that will give you the IP address to connect to your unit as well.

Default method of obtaining an IP address is DHCP. For situations where there is no DHCP Server available, to get access to the Web Configuration, Toolbox’s Text Console can be used to set a temporary address.

1. Connect USB cable to laptop running Toolbox.

2. Launch Text Console and select USB as connection type.

3. Issue following commands to set a temporary address:

- DHCP 0 OFF /now

- DHCP 1 OFF /now

- IPADDRESS 0 <ipaddress> /now

- IPMASK 0 <ipmask> /now

By using the ‘/now’ flag at the end, it will immediately enforce the new address settings. The Web Configuration should now be accessible.

What if I don’t have a DHCP Server?

Be careful when setting the DHCP settings on the unit.

By setting either one of the adapters to DHCP off, then both adapters will be off.

UPDATE:Firmware release scheduled for Summer 2018 will change this behavior so DHCP can be used on one adapter and Static can be used on the second.

QUICK TIP:Crestron has designed this front of room interface and utilizes most of the area of the screen for informational purposes. The intention of the custom background images is so that customers can qualify images that reflect corporate colors or common themes to the particular organization. The intention of these custom background images is not to provide the ability to add custom instructions to the room users. While companies are free to make their own design decisions on how to use this feature, the design intention from Crestron was to provide the ability to match an aesthetic for corporate branding.
