“When I got home and looked at the

card I saw that St Lucas was right in

my neighborhood and so I signed up

for the bible study and 18 weeks

later was confirmed at St. Lucas.”

Mussmann has strong connections to

the Bay View community. His great

grandfather was the first organist at

St Lucas when it was first built. His

grandparents ran The Glow ice

cream and candy store with a grill at

2646 South Kinnickinnic from 1923

to 1949. His father ran Mussmann

Realty on the corner of Euclid and

Howell from 1947 to about 1990.

“My family has a rich heritage in

Bay View,” he said.

Mussmann teaches jazz piano, tradi-

tional piano, classical piano and dig-

ital music recording at the Waukesha

County Conservatory of Music in

Hartland. He also has a digital

recording studio both in his home

and in Hartland where he composes

and records compositions for sub-

mission to publishers.

“I always say that my work is my

hobby because I enjoy it so much

that I am usually working when I

don’t have anything else to do,” he

said.

Confirmed

in FaithAnd when they had

preached the gospel to

that city, and had taught

many, they returned again

to Lystra, and to Iconium,

and Antioch, confirming

the souls of the disciples,

and exhorting them to

continue in the faith, and

that we must through

much tribulation enter

into the kingdom of God.

Acts 14:21,22

Confirming is the work of

the Holy Spirit, through the Word of God, which is the basis of the many hours of

instruction that take place before the Rite of Confirmation. The rite itself gives

public recognition that these Christians have completed a course of study in God's

Word and are prepared to receive the sacrament.

The following young adults will be confirmed on Sunday, April 17th during the

10:45 A.M. service: Ayla Baewer, Parker Berendt, William Blinderman, Hannah

Corbett, Noah Gorski, Evelyn Green, Tai’ler Krumnow, Zackary Kurz, Desiree

Marrari, Jackson Mueller, Karsen Mitsche, Daniel Montenegro, Nicholas Schmel-

ing, Paul Unnasch, Johnathan Sherock, Steven Wobszal, Angelina Wohlfard,

Samantha Ziedonis.

When was the last time you thought about your confirmation? Probably what

comes to mind first is some of the details of your day of confirmation….what you

wore, who confirmed you, what relatives came to celebrate with you. Think

deeper. What does your confirmation mean to you?

It means that I’m finally ready to take my Savior’s body and blood. I’ve been

waiting to take Holy Communion since forever. And now I am finally ready.

Angelina Wohlfard, 8th Grader

My confirmation means a lot to me. To be not only more of a member in my

Christian church, but to be more connected to God in faith. To be able to

have this privilege is amazing already! Desi Marrari, 8th Grader

I get to come closer to God, I can take part in Holy Communion with other

Children of God. I can get to know the Father better. Ayla Baewer, 8th Grader

When I was old enough, I ran to God. I learned He was looking for followers.

Charles Stadelmayer, St. Lucas member

My confirmation meant that I made the promise to be faithful to God and His

Word. I was able to take the Lord’s Supper and do His will in the church. I

became a member of the St. Lucas family.
