SUNDAY EVENING SERVICEBill Parker is teaching a series called “ R o m a n s : R e d e m p t i o n Rediscovered” in the Chapel at 6:00 pm on Sunday evenings.
VBS – The Alpha ProjectThrough hands-‐on activities that draw on children's innate curiosity about science, our VBS this year will teach children about the seven days of creation. Not only do the lessons teach children the events of each creation day, but also what creation reveals about God.
Each classroom will be turned into a creation laboratory. Every teacher will be known as creation
scientists with lab assistant helpers. Each class will also have a guide that will stay with them all week as they explore each class during the week.
We will need volunteers ( 12 precisely) to teach in our laboratories (no science skills needed). Adults (another 12) will also be needed to be helpers in the labs (lab assistants). We deJinitely need teen volunteers (18 to be exact) to be our class guides!
Children’s Ministry
A Time of HonorAnnie Pierce, “Miss Annie”, has served in our nursery for the past 37 years and has decided it is time to retire. We will be holding a reception on Sunday, July 17 to honor Miss Annie. If you would like to contribute to a Money Tree for her retirement please make donations to the office. We are also asking for special cards and letters to be placed in the box in the foyer for a special scrapbook. Miss Annie has loved and worked with our children for many years which means she has served several generations of our families. Now is the time for us to honor her as she retires.
