Congregation Bet Haverim Dorot Service Guide
May the doors to our community be wide enough to receive all who hunger for love,
all who seek companionship. May our doorstep welcome all who have cares to unburden,
thanks to express, hopes to nurture.
May the doors of our community be narrow enough to shut out pettiness and pride,
envy and enmity. May our threshold pose no stumbling block
to young or straying feet, but May it require us to rise above complacency,
selfishness and harshness. May this community be for all who join us
the doorway to a more meaningful life.

Deep is your love for us God, our God; Boundless your tender compassion,
For the sake of our ancestors who trusted you, teach us the rules of life, Show great mercy towards us and let our hearts understand and be wise enough
to hear, to learn, to teach, to guard, and to do all the teachings of your Torah with love.
Light our eyes with your Torah and imprint upon our hearts your commandments Bring our hearts together in love and in reverence of you,
that we will never, ever, be brought to shame,
Because in your great, awesome, holy name we have trusted, We will delight and rejoice in the salvation you offer us.

Who is like you, God, among all that has been worshiped? Who is like you, majestic in holiness,
Awesome in splendor, doing wonders? Those who had been saved sang
a new song for God on the sea shore Together everyone gave thanks
and in chorus said, “God will reign forever and ever!”
Please rise on the word “kumah”

It is our responsibility to praise God, master of all, and to appreciate the wonders of
creation, including our own unique abilities. We bend our knees and bow only before the
king of all kings, creator of the heavens and earth. We have no other God. Truth is our king;
nothing compares. Thus, you shall know this day in your hearts,
there is one God of the Earth and Heavens and no other. Sh’hoo noteh shamayim veyosed aretz, oomoshav yekaro bashamayim meema-al Ooshchinat oozoh, ooshchinat oozoh, begavhey meromeem.
