Woman Injured From FluVaccine Reaches $2.4MSettlement With U.S.Government

A woman who was injured after receiving a flu vaccine in 2013 reaches a

settlement with the U.S. government.

According to the Knutson and Casey law office in Mankato, 39-year-old

Cheron Golding received the flu vaccination in October of 2013.

She was later diagnosed with transverse myelitis as a result of her

vaccination. Her attorney, Randy Knutson, says she suffered from

paralysis, loss of vision and was hospitalized for several months.

Through a review from the Vaccine Court and the U.S. Justice

Department, the $2.4 million settlement was reached for her injuries and

payments for future care.

Knutson says any U.S. citizen injured by a vaccine can apply to the U.S.

Vaccine Court to have their case reviewed for possible compensation.
