INTERNATIONAL SUMMER/WINTER PROGRAMMES (i-SP)

NUS students can participate in i-SPs offered by partner universities and global university networks of which NUS is a member. They allow students to explore and cultivate a deeper appreciation of the culture and lifestyle of the host country through opportunities for personal development and independent travel. Some i-SPs also allow students to explore non-traditional countries. These programmes are generally held during the NUS vacation period from May to August (summer) and December to January (winter).

MORE SHORT-TERM PROGRAMMES

IRO also offers other Short-term Programmes for students to participate in. These programmes, generally lasting from two weeks to a month, provide students with the opportunity to expand their outlook and gain valuable learning experiences, while exposing them to the historical, social, economic, political and cultural aspects of different countries.

STUDY TRIPS FOR ENGAGEMENT AND ENRICHMENT (STEER)STEER programmes are designed to familiarise students with the diverse socio-cultural-economic environment of new and fast-evolving regions through a mix of classroom-based learning and experiential site visits. Thematic curriculum help our undergraduates break existing mindsets about these emerging regions through participation in an immersive educational and cultural experience.
