We’d like to thank everyone who attended the 11th Annual Diversity and Worklife Summit and Awards earlier this month.

We’d like to give a special note of thanks to our sponsors, who made this event possible through their support of the Diversity

Committee. Thanks to the vendors who participated as well.

Through this annual awards ceremony, EHRA acknowledges the efforts of organizations that strive to promote understanding and appreciation

of diversity in its multitude of forms and that display outstanding leadership in fostering an inclusive work environment that supports its employ-

ees through Diversity Awareness, Worklife Programs and a broad range of Health and Benefits Programs.

This year, nine organizations submitted nominations, which were reviewed and scored by an independent group of judges from the field of HR,

who live and work outside of the Tri-State area.

Diversity and Inclusion Program Awards: Workplace Flexibility and Health Benefits Awards:

Fifth Third Bank (251-500 employee category) Traylor Brothers (1-250 employee category)

AT&T (501-1250 employee category) Atlas Van Lines (251-500 employee category)

Vectren Corporation (1251+ employee category) Old National Bank (1251+ employee category)

Some of the programs cited by the Diversity and Inclusion winners included:

Listing diversity among its company’s core values

Translating company website into Spanish

Local Diversity Councils with senior management sponsors

Supplier Diversity Programs

Incentive programs recognizing employees championing diversity

Diversity on corporate board and in executive leadership

Use of diversity scorecards and other measurements

Some of the programs cited by the Workplace Flexibility and Health Benefits winners included:

100% coverage of employees’ medical, prescription, life insurance and long-term disability premiums

Monthly rebate for fitness memberships and discounts on Weight Watchers, NutriSystem foods, home exercise videos, workout equipment

and fitness gear

Adoption assistance allowance

On-site fitness center available at no charge for employees and their guests

Outdoor 1 mile jogging track on-site, as well as indoor mapped walking trails for use during inclimate weather

Private rooms available to nursing mothers and those needing to check glucose levels or administer self injections

Support for active employees reporting for military duty

Paid time off for volunteer activities performed during work hours

Alternative scheduling options, which include compressed work weeks, working from home (telecommuting), summers off, job sharing,

phased retirement, reduced and flex hours

Domestic partner benefits

Employee assistance in the event of an emergency or financial hardship

We would like to recognize all of the companies that were nominated, all of which are actively promoting workplace cultures that allow every

employee to contribute to his/her full potential. In addition to the winners, other nominees included Deaconess Hospital, HRConnects, LLC and

Red Spot Paint and Varnish.

A special thank you to our sponsors!
