AMENITY AND COMMUNITY NEWS October 2018 Connections Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 13 to head over to Blowing Springs Park for the 2nd annual vintage flea market which will include live music, food trucks, vintage car & RV show, and a kid’s fun zone with pumpkin painting and photo backdrop. There will be something for everyone at this family friendly event. The event runs from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and admission is free! Live music will be provided from the band, Dr. NOLA & the Soul Shakers; a New Orleans influenced band that performs a gumbo of music styles from soul, to blues and funk. Their high energy stage show and powerhouse sound will make you want to jump and shout! Also performing is Arkansas native, Will Gunselman, a singer-songwriter who has been playing and telling his truth for 15 years. His lyrics and musical style are Americana at its core with unexpected twists. Lyrics embody his love for nature, Arkansas, and his family. They will be playing in the natural bluff and Amphitheater in Blowing Springs which makes for an amazing music venue. If you’re a vendor who specializes in vintage furniture, junk, upcycled materials or are an artisan food vendor – a few spots are still available. 10’ x 10’ spaces are $50. 10’ x 20’ spaces are $90 or 20’ x 20’ for $120. New Tanyard Creek Instructor/Supervisor - Hillery SenceLessons such as Get Golf Ready, New 2 Golf and the Junior Programs are growing significantly, so the demand for a Teaching Professional was high. After a regional search, Hillery Sence was hired. Sence grew up playing golf just outside of Cleveland. As an amateur, she played in two U.S. Women’s Amateurs, one U.S. Public Links, the Junior PGA Championship and countless other junior events. Sence earned a scholarship to the University of Cincinnati where she won 9 tournaments. Being the number one player on the team, she helped her coach with the other players during their practice sessions. That’s when Sence got the first taste of teaching and loved it. After graduation, she pursued a LPGA Class A membership as she moved from Ohio to Arkansas and is currently working toward her PGA membership through the PGA Apprentice program. She worked at Shadow Valley Country Club, The First Tee of NWA, Blessings Golf Club and Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis. While in St. Louis, she played in two KPMG Women’s PGA Championships. No Wake SignsBoaters, please be aware of our no wake signs. We are having ongoing issues of boats going full throttle in the boat ramp containing coves of Granton and Stoneykirk on Loch Lomond. There are multiple no wake signs in Stoneykirk, so please be sure that you have passed the last one near the mouth of the cove before creating a wake. No wake zones are declared in lakes near the shore. Any vessel operating in a speed zone posted as “Idle Speed - No Wake” must operate at the minimum speed that allows you to maintain steering and make headway.

Lake Windsor DrawdownThe drawdown will begin on November 12 and should be complete by December 1st barring rain. The lake will remain down until March 1st. Minor dredging will occur on POA property at Pontoon Park and London Landing. Lakefront residents will be able to make more convenient repairs to seawalls and docks. Building permits will be required through the City of Bella Vista for docks and seawalls and a permit is required through the POA for dredging. For permit and other information go to bellavistapoa.com/windsor-drawdown.
