Located upstairs in our village-style buildings, our Signature Rooms are light, airy andsun-filled. The rooms are simply and tastefully appointed, and feature large comfortable beds and original artworks from the Spier Collection. The en suite bathrooms incorporate a generous size bath and a seperate shower. In keeping with our sustainability ethos, mini bars areenergy-efficient and showerheads water-wise.

One of the distinguishing features of the Spier Hotel is its collection of six courtyards - each with its own swimming pool. Signature Garden Rooms have direct access to the pool and lush garden, as well as a shaded outdoor patio where you can unwind with a glass of our wine.

The rooms are decorated in a calm neutral colour palette with warm wooden furniture and splashes of vibrant colour. They feature king-size comfortable beds and original artworks from the Spier Collection. The en suite bathrooms incorporate a generous-size bath and a seperate shower. In keeping with our sustainability ethos, mini bars are energy-efficient and showerheads water-wise.

TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN?

Rates are subject to availability at the time of booking. The rates include Value Added Tax (VAT) and exclude a 1% tourism levy. Accommodation rates are subject to currency fluctuations and therefore we reserve the right to change the rates accordingly. Prior notice will be given should this be necessary. All bookings remain provisional until a 25% non-refundable deposit has been received.

In the event that you require the furniture to bemoved, additional labour costs will be incurred.To facilitate a cocktail function in the Courtyard, the wrought iron furniture needs to bemoved at an additional cost.Please note that the tables are not suitable for table cloths. We therefore provide placemats only.Cushions are set up on the chairs.

The venue is suited to cocktail functions only. No seated dinners are available. The venue is an operational wine shop until 18:00 but only closes once all customers have vacated the venue. Spier requires at least 2 hours after closing to prepare the venue for your function. All branding must be free-standing. Nothing may be attached to the walls, floor or ceiling. The venue is available until 22:00 on the night of the function. Extended use of the venue must be pre-arranged at additional costs to your account. Audio visual facilities can be pre-a ranged at additional costs. A pre-arranged bar facility will be available at prices as per the Conference Centre Wine and Beverage list. The shop will not be open for wine sales during the function. The coach drop-off and pick-up point is located at the Wine Collection area behind Wine Tasting.

SPIER FARM KITCHENThe Spier Farm Kitchen allows guests to customise their picnic with a wide range of freshly-prepared options to choose from – including rotisserie chicken, handcrafted pies and sandwiches. S E G WAY TOU R SThe Segway PT (Personal Transporter) is a two-wheeled, self balancing electric vehicle. Users lean forward to go forward, lean back to go backward and turn using a “lean steer” handlebar. As you glide through the farm past our beautiful vineyards and pastures, your guide will share interestinginsights about farming, Spier’s River Walk and wastewater treatment plant.

EAGLE ENCOUNTERSEagle Encounters is a bird of prey rehabilitation, conservation, education and eco-tourism project. The centre receives birds that have been injured, poisoned, illegally removed from their nests, and works towards re-releasing healthy, fit, successfully hunting and able-breeding raptors into the wild.

The craft market are projects of the Spier Craft Development Programme. Together they promote the work of more than 90 different craft enterprises, the majority of them black-owned and South African.

Conferencing includes an auditorium that seats 430 people and three breakaway rooms, which can be used separately, or combined, to seat 250 people. Conference rooms are adjacent to the Eerste River and have views of the Helderberg mountains.

H E R I TAG E WA L KThe walk is circular, free of charge, and meanders through our protea garden and the avenue of indigenous coral trees. For the more adventurous, there are two call out points which add about 1 hour onto the walk. The walk is approx. 1.5 hours but guests have the choice to end at any time. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

SPIER ARTISAN STUDIOThe airy, light-filled master mosaic and ceramic studio allows guests tosee artisans at work as they create pieces in mosaic and beadwork incollaboration with South African fine artists. Creative Block artworks and other images are interpreted in these mediums and, upon completion, are available for purchase by the public.
