AcknowledgmentI take this opportunity to express my

profound gratitude and deep regards to Vijayalaxmi ma’am (science teacher) and also to Pankaj Sharma ma’am (principal ma’am) , who gave me a golden opportunity to make a project on “Conservation of Water”.

I would also like to thanks my parents, friends, who guided, supported and encouraged me in my project . I made this project not only for securing good marks but also for my personal experience.

Water in our body

Page 11: Conservation of water

With two thirds of the earth's surface covered by water and the human body consisting of 75 percent of it, it is evidently clear that water is one of the prime elements responsible for life on earth. Water circulates through the land just as it does through the human body, transporting, dissolving, replenishing nutrients and organic matter, while carrying away waste material. Further in the body, it regulates the activities of fluids, tissues, cells, lymph, blood and glandular secretions. Therefore , save a drop of water and you can save your lives….

Water pollution…

Page 15: Conservation of water

Water pollutionWater pollution is the contamination of

water bodies (e.g. lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers and groundwater). This form of environmental degradation occurs when pollutants are directly or indirectly discharged into water bodies without adequate treatment to remove harmful compounds.

Water conservation Water conservation encompasses the policies, strategies and activities to manage fresh water as a sustainable resource, to protect the water environment, and to meet current and future human demand. Population, household size and growth and affluence all affect how much water is used.
