• PUBLIC HEALTH– Most of the cases were traumatic injuries in nature.
There is a delay in the consultations of some injured victims. Some feared to pay for their hospitalization.
– LGUs requested for the ATS, Oresol, chlorine tablets, and medicines.
– Congested evacuation center. Anticipating for possible increase in diarrhea, respiratory, skin/eye infections and other communicable diseases.

& Operating Room badly damaged and flooded. With limited admissions and minor surgery done. Sterility lost. OPD consultation done/located at the main entrance area.
• Supplies & equipment damaged by water• Wards were either flooded, ceilings, roofs and windows
destroyed. Beds wet. In-patients were placed along corridors

– Majority of the Rural Health Units (RHUs) visited were either flooded or with ceilings and roofs leaking/destroyed.

– 50% of Josefina D. Duran Memorial Hospital staff were not regulary reporting to the hospital. Set-up hospital tent manned by the Bicol Medical Center health personnel.
– Augmentation/Deployment of DOH Medical Teams from Batangas Regional Hospital, Quirino Memorial Medical Center, National Orthopedic Center and San Lazaro Hospital to BRTTH.
– Augmentation/Deployment of DOH Medical team from Bicol Medical Center and Bicol Sanitarium at the Guinobatan RHU for the walking – injured patients.
