Constant Aviation finished the refurbishment of this Global Express in January 2016. The project was completed in seven months. This Global Express interior was inspired by a boardroom theme. The customer wanted to refresh the look of the interior with a sophisticated space that had the feeling of being in a high end boardroom. The interior layout was designed with three main areas – business, dining and entertaining. This aircraft has a four-place dining area with two additional seats housed in a custom credenza. The aft section of the cabin was turned into a theater room with the addition of a three-place divan, VIP seat and a 42” high-definition flat screen monitor. There is also a crew rest area with redesigned custom seats and ottoman.

The seats incorporate a two-tone platinum ice cowhide leather design. Decorative ostrich leather covers the lower sidewalls, and a highly-detailed ultrasuede material was added to the window panels. Custom handmade carpet was installed as well as a complimenting gray veneer “hardwood floor” in the galley area. New IFEC, CMS and avionics equipment was installed in this Global Express. The IFEC upgrades include a Honeywell AIS 2000 satellite TV system and Honeywell Ovation Select CMS. Some of the CMS equipment installed includes touchscreen passenger control units, high-definition LCD monitors, a Blu-ray player, 3D moving map and an all-digital surround sound speaker system.

The AOG business at Constant Aviation has been growing consistently the last year. Since inception, the team has doubled in size, and we have expanded our network of hubs. Our 2016 goal will continue to focus on providing our customers AOG support anytime, anywhere. The merger between Constant and Lone Star AOG creates a nationwide AOG support system. The combined companies will operate under Constant Aviation. Our technicians will now dispatch out of fourteen cities- Birmingham, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Francisco, Orlando, Atlanta, Charlotte, Las Vegas, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Columbia, Nashville, and Dallas. We will continue to grow our AOG business, adding teams to cities where a need exists. We understand the importance of immediate response when it comes to any AOG situation, and our Support Center is available 24/7/365 at 844.261.7119. The entire Constant team could not be more excited about this partnership and the opportunities it will bring.“Lone Star AOG is proud to be merging with Constant Aviation. The two companies are a perfect fit because they have the same core values that have made them successful. Both companies understand the importance

of customer service and the value of being available at any moment to support a customer. When customers finds themselves in an AOG situation, they want a reliable solution they can trust. Both Constant and Lone Star have built their AOG businesses off that philosophy,” explained Phillip Lawrence (Partner, Lone Star AOG).“When Lone Star AOG launched in 2008, our main focus was to hire the best technicians who understand the importance of customer service. The current Lone Star team consists of 24 technicians located in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Dallas. In this business, it is important to think outside of the box to provide the best solution to our customers. The fact that Constant Aviation has those same core beliefs made this merger the perfect solution,” elaborated Nathan Romney (Partner, Lone Star AOG).

The winglet leading edge was damaged beyond the limits of a field repair and the entire winglet required replacement. The replacement of the winglet included the removal of the damaged winglet, fit up and installation of the new winglet, replacement of the navigation light fairing, sealing of all re-installed panels and fairings, surface prep and final paint. The complete process took approximately 4 days. The majority of the manpower for the completed product was performed by the paint team during the aerodynamic smoothness requirements.
