College Station Housing
•A PSU project with American Campus Communities (ACC) to increase student residential facilities at PSU•Walsh Construction, Contractor•368,612 GSF, 16 Floors, 978 Beds
•Building to have student housing, three general pool classrooms, a lecture hall, ground floor retail
•Construction is anticipated to start in early December 2010 and continue through Summer of 2012
•Sidewalks and parking adjacent to the property will be closed throughout the project. Max Green Line service continues

•Located at OHSU Schnitzer Campus
•New building anticipated to collaboratively house OHSU, PSU, OSU, and private partners
•12-story – approx 650,000 GSF (Includes OHSU’s new spaces in Phases I & 2, Skourtes Tower)
•Building program is in refinement and includes: part of PSU Chemistry & Biology program, life sciences education & research, ground floor retail, & parking
•Design process continuing

OUS/OHSU Life Science Collaborative Building at South Waterfront
Life Science Collaborative Building
State Deferred Maintenance $29.2 million
•Main part of project completed in late August 2010. Building re-opened for use for Fall Term 2010 with Fine & Performing Arts and General Pool classrooms re-opened
•New Broadway Entry construction began late Spring 2011, with completion scheduled for Fall 2011
•Installation of Photovoltaic panels began late Spring 2011, with completion & start-up scheduled for fall 2011

● Building infrastructure upgrades and the expansion and modernization of labs and teaching space. State Limitation $45.3 M, various funding sources including General fund, grants, gifts, COPs, and bonds. $26.3 Deferred Maintenance infrastructure project completed last winter term.
● $2 Million CLEE research labs completed this summer.
● $2 Million EDA Grant to replace or add 71 fume hoods completed.
● $600,000 lobby upgrade completed. Construction was partially funded by student fees.
● Hoffman Construction will demobilize and be offsite starting Jan 2012.

Science Research & Teaching Center & Hazardous Waste Facility (SRTC)
● Oregon Economic Stimulus Funded Project $17.5 million
● To improve and expand the network of heating and cooling piping throughout campus that forms our Campus Loop
● Leading to energy savings, more reliable service and increased capacity to heat and cool campus buildings . Estimated energy savings over $300,000 per year
● Geothermal cooling of a new heat pump and chiller in SB2
● Federal Grant of $1 M awarded to use more of the heat in the geothermal wells
● Completion of project Fall 2011

Campus Steam & Chilled Water Loop
● Overall construction budget $614,000.
● Renovation of the Computer Lab
● Newly remodeled space, updated finishes, new computer workstations with integrated cable management.
● New "Sandbox Area" is a multi-use area defined by an innovative partition system, where students will have casual, impromptu work configurations while exploring integrated multi-media technology.
● Projected project completion Nov 15th

Millar Library Learning Grounds
• $7M Blumel Hall Remodel is funded by Article XI-F bonds to upgrade the building infrastructure. Bonds will be issued in Spring 2012.
• Early funding is being considered to expedite the design and construction process. PSU Auxiliaries wishes the construction to begin Fall 2012 and complete by Summer 2013.
• The upgrade will include replacing the roof, fixing the problem of water leaks in the units, and installing better heating controls and energy efficient lighting in the rooms
• Modernization of the rooms will be considered if funds are available. This may include kitchen cabinets, appliances, counter, flooring and painting.
