Fall/Winter 2018 Newsletter

Foxboro Neighborhood NewsGREETINGS FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK

Under New Management –After much deliberation, the Foxboro HOA Board voted to change the management company and is now under new management. Beginning November 1, 2018, Property Management Solutions (PMS) will assume the responsibility of managing the day-to-day operations of our neighborhood. Our HOA Board began considering a change several months ago for several reasons to include but not limited to: (1) We saw a need for a LOCAL management company with greater accessibility for our residents and hands-on management of our vendors; and (2) We felt we could receive services at a more economic price. We have enjoyed working with the staff at Halcyon Real Estate Service for many years. However, we found that they were having difficulty meeting our community’s needs and we wanted to move in a different direction.

Property Management Solutions is owned by Tony Barfield and has been in business for many years. Mr. Barfield and his staff are eager to assist the residents of the Foxboro Community in any way possible. They offer an array of services that will benefit our neighborhood. All homeowners should have or will be receiving a “Welcome Packet” from them. Please pay close attention to the info provided and return all requested items. If you need to contact the staff at PMS, they can be reached at (803) 996-4846. In addition to giving them a call, please feel free to visit their office at 201 West Main Street, Suite D, Lexington, SC 29072 or visit their website at www.pmsolutionssc.com. For your convenience, a copy of the “Welcome Letter” is located at www.pmsolutionssc.com under the Foxboro Community tab. We look forward to working with Mr. Barfield and his staff.

Foxboro Annual HOA Meeting – Due to the execution date of the contract with Property Management Solutions (PMS), the Foxboro HOA Annual Meeting will not be held until early 2019. This will allow PMS time to acquire all files from Halcyon Real Estate Services and enter all homeowners’ information into their computer system. Thank you for being patient as we got through the transition process.

Remember, if your dog poops . . . you must scoop!

2018 BACK TO SCHOOL BASH

Please join the Foxboro HOA Board in thanking the student volunteers that assisted with this year’s “Back to School

Bash” on August 12th. Our student volunteers were Madison Van Brocklin, Arayviah Davis, Amari Davis, Jaidon Ham,

Charlie Hardy, Hayley Lott, Morris Sass, and siblings Shaneil and Tyron. As in past years, the Bash was a huge

success! Our volunteers did an outstanding job and we hope that they can work with us again next year.

COMMUNITY PARK

The community park is available for all residents in the Foxboro neighborhood to use. If you would like to hold your

function at the park, give the management company a call to check on available dates. Please be aware that we do not

have regular trash pickup. Trash cans were place in the park as a convenience when strolling through the park and not in

lieu of your cans at your home. So, please take all trash, signs, balloons, dog feces, etc. with you when you exit the park

or when your park event is completed. Thank you for your cooperation.

FALL CLEAN UP!

Fall is here and that means time to get outside! Have you checked your home’s exterior lately? Are there shutters

fading, gutters falling, fencing leaning or boards missing, garage doors in need of repair? This is a great time to clean

out those beds with overgrown weeds or dead plants, trim bushes and freshen mulch.

As days shorten and temperatures decrease, your lawn will soon go dormant. Utilizing proper fall lawn care techniques

will give your turf the vigor it needs to withstand winter and come back better than ever in March. If you want healthy

green grass next spring, caring for your lawn in fall is crucial. Once leaves start falling, blow or rake your yard at least

once a month. Making sure your yard is free of leaves not only improves appearance, but it also improves your lawn’s

health.

All homeowners are responsible for maintaining their home and yard in a standard appropriate for the Foxboro

Community. In today’s volatile real estate market it is important to maintain our neighborhood’s appearance to keep our

home values competitive and a place we can all be proud to call home.

HOME MAINTENANCE:

Are there properties in our neighborhood that are seriously unsightly? Have your efforts to address the problems been

ineffective? Richland County Code Enforcement has been a tremendous help recently in solving problems such as

completely neglected yards, unlicensed and inoperative vehicles, and neglected vacant lots call 803.576.1864.
