II. Most NetworkMarketers Waste Time onthe WRONG People
We all know you need a downline quickly to make real money in this industry, but
not all downlines are created equal.
You only have so much time in the day, and if you take up every waking hour
coaching beginners, you’ll be burned out (and probably broke) within a couple
months.
The best example to give is the 3 Foot Rule – that old silly bit of advice that you
should be trying to sign up everyone who gets within three feet of you. I hate to
break it to you, but the 18-year-old buying cigarettes or the 80-year-old crossing
the street are NOT going to be your pipeline of cash.
Let’s say you do convince these wrong people to join your MLM. Even if they’re
excited to join and amped to learn, are they going to be able to figure it out?
Passion doesn’t equal skill.

Think about it this way: if you were getting married, and you wanted a beautiful
5-tier wedding cake, would you hire someone who has always wanted to make
gorgeous cakes but has never actually made one? Heck no! You want someone
all over Pinterest who knocks them out every week.
You want someone who knows not just how to bake a yummy, pretty cake, but
someone who has a delivery van to get it to your reception, who factors in the
weather and makes sure you know how to cut it right.
When you bring on someone hungry but inexperienced, you’re risking more than
you might realize. Your time is precious, and you got into this business to work
smarter, not harder, but every day, you have costs. Mortgage, insurance, groceries,
loan payments.
Every day you don’t have good people joining your downline who hit the ground
running, you’re losing that commission.

III. Who Are theRIGHT People?
The right people are the ones who will bring in large volume sales, which means
large commissions for you.
You’re not looking for people who are necessarily well-connected, you’re looking
for people with a good track record. You don’t want someone in culinary school
giving this a shot, you want the pastry chef from the Mirage. Or you want the
pastry chef’s assistant.
In network marketing, that means you’re looking for them to have one of these
two traits:
They have been in the industry and been successful.
They have been in the industry, and their key distributors have been successful.

IV. Breakdown of Dudsto Rock StarsWould you love to recruit only the top 1%, those elusive network marketers who
make tons of money? The rock stars of the industry?
Yeah, of course, but they’re not going to be the bulk of your downline.
From all of our years in the field, we figure that about 90% of the people we come
across are basically duds. They bring in zero to three people per year, and they’re –
to be frank – a waste of your time. Ironically, these are the people who are going
to want more communication than anyone, because they’re totally lost, totally
failing, and they need constant guidance. However, they serve a purpose: they
may be able to introduce you to profitable people in their upline.
Then you have the slightly better earners, the people bringing in up to 30 or so
people a year, and that’s about 5% of the industry. It’s not enough for them to
make a living on, and you’re only going to see a trickle of money coming from
them, but they can introduce you to people in their upline.
Getting more than 30 people per year is only for about 3% of the network
marketers out there, and these are good people to spend effort on.
Over 100 recruited into a downline annually is reserved for that top 1 or 2%, and
these are your rock stars. These are the folks you want to really foster a relationship
with and try to figure out how you can work together.

V. 4-Step Strategy: How to Snag TheRight People
STEP 1STEP 1 comes down to a sneaky Google search.
Go to www.google.com and type in a name of a popular MLM and then the plus
sign, then a phrase like “call me” or “contact me,” then another plus sign, then
your local area code, if you like to work with local people.
For these examples, we’re using Phoenix’s 602 area code as a placeholder for you.
Giving a network marketing company a fake name like XYZ, this is what your
search could look like:
“XYZ + call me+ 602”
OR
“XYZ.com + contact me + 602”
Do you see why these are the right people? They had their stuff together enough
to put themselves out there, and make themselves available to their local market.
The closer the results are to the first page of the Google results, the more
impressive the network marketer.
Grab those phone numbers from each page and start dialing. These are the right
people.

STEP 2STEP 2 is all about the phone call, and it’s so important – and such a common
place these leads get dropped – we are sharing our incredibly successful script
with you.
This script is so perfect, and it’s been such a hit, we just had to share it.
If you get voicemail.
If you get the lead’s voice mail, you can leave this (absolutely honest) message:
Hi there, this is _________. I saw your info on a site, and I have a quick question for you. Could you call me on _________? Thanks.
If the lead picks up the phone.
If the lead answers the phone, here is the script you should follow.
Hello, is this _________?
Yes, it is.

STEP 3When it comes time for the call, if they pick up the phone, you’re already halfway home. You’re going to qualify them and generally follow all of the rules we teach you in the course.
STEP 4If they blow you off for the phone call, or if you get through the phone call without a close, you’re still going to pop them into the automated funnel and sell the heck out of them, without opening your little mouth again.
Ahhhh, a fat sales funnel that pushes people to give you money while you sleep. Is there anything better?
