Design• Supporting frame composed of standard modular elements, multiples of 1.5 m in length: - Fixed Height = 600 mm - Inside Dimensions of the smallest bund = 1,5 m x 1,5 m• Membrane adapted to the dimensions of the frame ordered, equipped with sleeves in
which slide the tubular sections and girth straps that attach to the leg. • Available in 2 types of membrane: BSTUB “Plus” (high resistance) and BSTUB “Eco”
(medium resistance).• Extra 30 cm yellow tarpaulin tray at the bottom around its entire periphery in order to
increase wind resistance by adding some ballast onto it.• Each bund comes with a drain valve 1,5’’ and a safety siphon to evacuate rainwater.

Installation• Possibility of complete installation by one of our teams of

tubular sections are slid into the sleeves and assembled to the legs. The legs are then attached to the floor with bolts/pegs.
• Each side can be mounted separately in order to get inside the bund to deposit material; when driving inside the bund, rolling tracks are necessary to prevent damage to the membrane.

Use• Operating electric transformers may cause vibrations that are conducted through the
metal retention bunds and cause noise pollution of the immediate environment• These vibrations can increase the level of noise pollution, causing discomfort to those
living nearby• Our noise-damping kits are designed to alleviate this problem
DesignWe offer 2 noise damping kits:
NOVIB 70 NOISE-DAMPING PANELS
• Available in varying degrees of hardness with their own natural frequencies and absorption capacity
• 2 particular degrees of hardness are specifically suited to insulate the containment bund from the ground and to insulate the rollers of transformers placed on support beams or in the bottom of our bunds
• They are made of nitrile rubber and are resistant to almost all types of oil used in the transformer industry
• They are compatible with BR and BAF bunds
NOVIB 90 SILENT BLOCKS
• For high demands on mitigation of vibration, NoVib90 silentblocks have been designed to absorb at least 90% of the vibrations generated by electrical transformers.
• This suspension devise is equipped with a locking system from rolling. It has a natural frequency from 10 to 15Hz.
• In a 4 tons transformer example, i.e. 1 ton by NoVib90, we reach 97% absorption for harmonic at 100 Hz and 93% for the second harmonic of 50 Hz.
• In addition, it has good resistance to oil and electrical conductivity.

1. ELECTRICAL STANDARDSINTERNATIONAL STANDARDS - CENELEC HD 637 S1
Harmonisation document CENELEC HD 637 S1 (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardisation) stipulates that if electric equipment contains a significant amount of flammable liquid, the necessary precautions must be taken to prevent the spreading of liquids, flames or combustion products. For example, measures like:
• Using a retention bund to recover any leakage and extinguish fires
• Installing equipment in a fire-proofed room and use fire walls or other such means to prevent the liquid on fire from leaking out
Each country has its own regulations in this matter. French standards seem to be the most complete and are used as a reference for many other countries.
>> FRANCENF C 13200 (September 2009): Installations électriques à haute tension (High-voltage electrical installations)Chap. 422 : Règles complémentaires de protection contre l’incendie pour les transformateurs (Additional regulations to ensure fire protection in transformers) § 422.1.3 Récupération et extinction du diélectrique inflammable (recovery and fire-extinguishing of flammable dielectric liquids) Procedure for recovery the dielectric liquid:
• At least one retention bund for each power transformer of 1250 kVA or more
• Use a suitable device or a pit to extinguish flames in the dielectric liquid. Transformers of more than 1250 kVA and at up to 40 MVA must be equipped with a built-in recovery pit
• For power transformers greater than 40 MVA, there must be a fire-extinguishing pit for the dielectric liquid with a separate recovery bund
• All precautions must be taken to prevent the recovery bunds from filling up with water. A suitable device must be used to separate the oil from the water in the recovery bunds.
