Task #2

The policy of containment: containment was the policy used by the United States to stop the spread of communism, and intensify the security of USA. The word containment is associated most strongly with the policies of U.S. President Harry Truman.

The Truman doctrine: The Truman doctrine was a policy set by Harry Truman. With this doctrine, Truman said that he would support Turkey and Greece initially with economic and military aid, so that they wouldn’t fall into the Soviet sphere.

The Marshall plan: The Marshall plan was an American program to aid Europe where the United States sent monetary support to help rebuild European economies in order to combat the spread of communism. This plan began in April 1948, and ended 4 years later.

Source 2:In this source we can see a man called Juan trying to destroy communism. Underneath this we can see a text that says:” Stop communism is everybody’s job”. It is important to point out the name of the man who is trying to destroy communism, because it is not a common name of the United States, so this shows that every single country has to stop communism.
