Anniversary Issues over the years

COLLECTOR EDITION

IA&B has taken out collector edition as part of its anniversary issue which focusses on a particular theme such as Explore ( competition issue ), New Spirit in Architecture ( 5*5 issue), Practices of Consequences ( Future of Architecture) etc. The next anniversary-2015 is focussing on Spaces (Architecture across ages across spaces- where we live, where we work ,public & infrastructure spaces).

361 Degree Conference

India’s biggest & Asia’s second biggest Architecture & Design conference providing a content platform for over 600 professional architects ( pan India) & 250 students of architecture & design colleges to get inspired and interact with over 16 global thought leaders in design. The Eighth edition would be held in Mumbai in February’2015. Over the years, conference has focused on themes such as Architecture & Identity, Architecture of Purpose, New Spirit in Architecture, Design & Informal Cities, Icons & Ideas etc.

Notions of Nation

Notions of Nation , an initiative to create the modern design symbol of India. A national level competition which invited over 20,000 Architects to submit their entries. The winning entry “ CHARKHA” by Nuru Karim was selected out of 64 final entries , out of process of Regional Jury, National Jury & Travelling Exhibition. The initiative saw the culmination in installation of winning entry “ CHARKHA” as design symbol at Oval Maidan, Mumbai.

Skyline 2020

An Online Competition, inviting practicing architects & students to submit their entries on the skyline of India in 2020. Practicing architects were asked to form a team with students of their respective colleges. The winning entry selected out of 675 ENTRIES through national jury conducted online and followed by onground felicitation.

A Book and a seminar- Thinking conservation, in association with Dr Bernard Memorial Fielden Trust ,highlighting the importance of conservation. Late Dr Bernard Fielden was known as pioneer in conservation architecture and now his works are been carried forward through the trust.
