An important part of Belcom’s approach to cable development is

our association with, and membership of, key trade organisations.

addressed and adaptations to existing cables, where necessary,

can be agreed prior to field requirements.

CPR (Construction Products Regulation)

Long before CPR Belcom fully took on board the concern to protect against fire together with the more responsible participants in our

industry. It is with a great deal of satisfaction that to comply with the new Euro classifications, we have not had to alter any of our existing

FireFighter branded cables to achieve compliance. What we have achieved by CPR testing to EN50575 is confirmation of the standards that

we already met.

We continue to test cable to ensure these standards are maintained as part of our ongoing quality control programs.

Infrastructure

In addition to being well located for sales and distribution, dur-

ing 2016 Belcom undertook a major physical change, making

the move from, its then, six buildings to now one large purpose

built facility.

The move included relocating over 1200 pallets of stock,

mirrored digital infrastructure and continued real time stock

management between the old location and the new and was

completed over a period of 3 months, whilst maintaining the

steady growth of the business. This could not have been

achieved without the dedicated support of the employees and

management that make up Belcom and is great credit to them.

Belcom now operates under one roof with a large Cable stock

and state of the art handling equipment, multi-functional

cutting facilities, excellent meeting and networking space

along with open plan Sales, QA, Accounts, Marketing and

Management. The improvements on work flow, both adminis-

tratively and physically have already proved their worth in the

first 2 years of operation in the new building with improved

sales and maintained profitability., with a growing emphasis on

export sales.

2018

The 2016 investment in the new premises and infrastructure has started to deliver us on the path from 2017

– 2022 already, 2017 has been a progression along that path with a 23% increase in sales and the prospects

and acceptance of brands in forthcoming projects shows every indication that route is set to grow. 2018 has

delivered continued growth with an increase in export sales to over 60 different countries worldwide.

Belcom aims to continue to grow it’s business while maintaining an active stock profile, capitalising on

existing products specified in key markets with a view to further develop cable designs for niche customers

and markets. The move to new premises has proved extremely successful and has allowed sufficient

headroom to achieve our future growth plans through investment, technology, plant and personnel.
